The National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, like many other NITs used to be a Regional Engineering College. Perhaps the most popular engineering college in Madhya Pradesh, itﾒs among the top few NITs. It celebrated its golden jubilee year in 2010. Some of the professors are very good and experienced too.

Various companies for branches visit here with a high range of package. Some of the companies which visited here are Google, Facebook, Amazon ,jobang, Microsoft, ntpc, Reliane, Jindal, Tata, hcl, bpcl, bhel ,Mahendra, nokia, bsnl.

Placements have really improved in the past couple of years. Though always quite excellent, theyﾒve become even better now. Software and IT companies are now joined by finance firms which pick up a number of students with really good packages.

Every year the technical festival 'Technosearch' is organized in the even semester. Itﾒs a national level event. This year NIT Bhopal took an initiative to organize an Inter NIT Robotics Championship which, needless to say, was a great success.We also organise Robotica in which all rhe colleges of India take participantion.

This college is famous for its scholarship facility.It provides various scholarships on various schemes. It not only help the economical week student but also promotes toppers.It provides various opportunities to go abroad and study.It is aided by both state and central government.

This college,has very bad alumini network. Students once placed never return or try to contact with college or their juniors.Its all because of week management by college.
