Course Curriculum Overview
We have extensive courses on food production and beverages throughout the three years of graduation. These are interspersed with fun workshops for baking and cooking up different cuisines. Along with this, we are taught the basics of office management and reception management.
Placement Experience
I would rate IHM a 100 on placements! I just secured admission last year and the batch that passed out had a whopping 86 students placed! Among the passouts, Aayush Sharma and Akash Singh were placed as management trainees in ITC Welcome Dwarka!
College Events
We celebrate quite a few occasions in college as this gives us an opportunity to showcase our culinary skills. We celebrate Lohri religiously. Also, the college holds theme lunches regularly, to get us accustomed to whipping up different cuisines.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is expensive, but then most hotel management courses are. The total fee of the course comes to around Rs 3.3 lakhs and this is not inclusive of hostel and mess charges. This includes charges by IGNOU( our university) and different exam charges.
Campus Life
Extra-curricular events are held regularly in our college! Our faculty deeply believes in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and we have plenty of Cleanliness Drives in our college. Besides that we also hold blood donation camps and theme lunches.
Admission
The admission procedure of the college is fairly easy and all you need to do is prepare a demand draft, attach it to an application form and mail it. Once you are over with your board exams, you must mail the original certificates. After verification, they will release their merit list.
Faculty
This has been a jackpot for us! Celebrity chef Sanjib Kumar Dey is our Head of the Department and he has previously worked in top hotels like Hotel Trident Chennai. As such he trains us according to his experiences and this is a blessing for us!
