Remarks
Central Institute of Fisheries science has a huge campus with fully furnished classroom and laboratory facilities. The campus of the institute was very calm and clean. Many facilities are there in the institute like hostel facility, auditorium, playgrounds, library, canteen, parking etc. The teaching and non teaching staff of the institute were friendly and helpful.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was lengthy and periodically revised. The duration of the course was three years. But it takes more than three years to complete. The curriculum includes laboratory work, field work, thesis work, open seminars etc. Computer laboratories are there for help of the students.
Placement Experience
Internship facility was provided by the institute. The placement cell of the institute was very good and helpful. The placement cell helps us by conducting various grooming sessions like soft skills, Interview facing skills, behavioural skills. More than 65 percent of the students got recruitment in the State Fisheries Department. There are various jobs opportunities in both private and government sector.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees of the ph.d course was around 45000 rupees which includes library fees, laboratory fees, admission fees, tution fees etc. In every year i paid around 15200 rupees. The fees was quite feasible as per the demand and facilities provided by the institute.
Campus Life
The institute believes in overall development of the students by conducting many extracurricular activities. Many activities like cultural activities, literary activities, social activities, sports activities are organized by the institute which help us a lot to bring out our hidden talents. The institute organizes its Annual sports day evey year in the month of December in which various indoor and outdoor games are conducted.
Admission
I got admission in this course after qualifying my Master degree . The admission process was very good and easy. Students need to qualify their Master degree in Fisheries science from a recognised university are eligible to get admission in ph.d course.
Faculty
Faculties of our institute are the most talented professors. All teachers have a very good academic background. They all come from reputed institution. Their teaching skills are very excellent and impressive.
