Management is good. They worked really hard to back conversion of ISM to IIT.

I took CAT. I had to pursue Post grad after B.Tech and reviews I received from seniors about the college were positive.

It was good. I pursued MBA in HR. Other electives were Marketing,Operations and Finance. Curriculum for all electives was appropriate. Although there could be a little tweak in adding current scenario management principles.

I did internship in a PSU. So no stipend was offered. But there were students who were offered good stipend. Internships opportunities were available even in NGO. So studnets were given opportunities in all kind of sectors.

There was a time when 50% of the batch used to get placed in CIL at decent package. For our batch also CIL visited and hired 4 students. Other companies like Hyundai, Naukri.com,Electrosteel,Viza steel,Accenture etc also visit campus for MBA students. After getting IIT tag I hope scenario is going to be much better.

Srijan is the annual cultural festival. It's the biggest festival in the Eastern India. Concetto is the technical fest and Parakram the sports fest. All 3 attracts students from all over India giving opportunity to the students of ISM to interact and compete with students of colleges across India.

Fee is very nominal. It was less than 2 lac for 4 semesters. Moreover there were scholarships for students with weak economic background. Recently I have heard that there is a little increase in the fee but I consider it still remains nominal.

Scholarship is available for students on the basis of certain criteria like academic and economic background.

Every thing that a student requires to grow and learn is provided by the college. Student Activity Centre recently built is finest among all the IITs. New Library under construction is going to be the biggest campus library across asia according to my knowledge.

Hostels infrastructure is really good. I was fortunate enough to live in the oldest hostel Diamod which was built in 1926. Even after being old infrastructure was intact. Facilities in the hostel are up to the mark. Recently there is a change in the system I guess where the students from Dhanbad are not given hostel facility.

Alumini network is really strong. Every year there is an alumni meet Rendezvous. Seniors are very helpful and supportive. After the completion of the course seniors tried to recruit number of studnets for the companies they were working in.

Everything was scheduled in a manner which allowed students to prepare well. Learning is considered important in the institute and management always strives to maintain schedule well suited for students.

Learned and experienced faculty. Each faculty is having more than 10 years of rich experience. Some of the faculty members were visiting faculty for premier universities in India like IIMs and even abroad.
