My Life at JSU

The course duration is of 4 years, with 8 semesters. In the first year, all the branches have the same subjects. We are taught basic C programming. From Second-year forth, we are gonna study our branch specialties, mostly focusing on maths and coding. Every semester we have class tests, assignments, projects, and end sem, so it is quite hectic.

We have our own placement and internship department which spends quite an amount on attracting companies. Tech and IT companies are mostly the recruiters. Many of my 4th-year seniors got placed in Samsung, TCS, Zen Tech., etc.

I had to pay around 47,500 INR in the first year, which I guess gonna be the same for the rest of the years. So, 47,500*4=1,90,000 for 4 years, which is quite less compared to other engineering colleges where one might spend in Lakhs. So, this can be a good option.

Labs are well built, and weekly we have around 4 lab lectures. We enjoy it a lot as doing things practically is totally different from theory. I am a footbal fnatic and loves to play. We have our own teams in our university. All sports are promoted. Every year we celebrate cultural and tech fests. All this are a part of our student culture.

I got admission through the counseling process. I didn't score that great in State Entrance Exam and I wanted to pursue Comp Science, so I opted for this. The cut-off is a minimum of 50% in 12th grade, so I just filled the application form for my desired branch. It went quite smooth and simple.

The faculty has to go through a selection phase before being appointed, so one can already guess that they are highly qualified and highly professional in their teaching field. Personally, my department is quite chill, and very helpful.
