Remarks

One of the better colleges of Odisha is GIET University College meant for its disciplinary actions taken by the administrator. It is an anti ragging college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Mechanical department is one of the good department among the total of 8 departments. Faculty is good in teaching with the projector. Students gain much technical support from the faculties.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 169000 per year

Placement Experience

By the completion of 6th semester, companies visit the college. Many companies visit the college with good packages. Some include Cavvision,Piaggio etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees structure of the College is 169000 INR at the time of my study. The fees structure do fluctuate with the ongoing years. Medhabruthi is one of the scholarship for the general category student belonging to Odisha.

Campus Life

Annual tech fest is being celebrated in the College with pomp and show. It is annually celebrated in the February month. A big space library is constructed with thousands of volumes of the books. During the annual celebration itself many cultural events and technical too are being organised.

Placements are quite good. Thats precisely why i chose this college . The highest offer last year was 52 lpa . Other than that average package is 6 to 8 lpa for cse students . Mostly all students get placed . A few companies that come for placements are Infosys, TCS , JP Morgan , Deloitte , Bookings holidays , Cognizant, Accenture .

Placement Experience:

After 3rd semester the students are eligible for internship but after 4th sem the students are eligible for Plecement. More the 95% students get the placements. Highest package is aprox Rs.4300000 and lowest is 300000. My plan is for higher studies after getting degree.

I would rate five out of five about the curriculum of the giet university because it is more updated in comparison of other universities of odisha. The exams are taken in the gap of one and a half month. There is no need to update the curriculum

ITER SOA is quite intimidating!!

Placement Experience:

IBM, Siemens, Philips and many other companies and even the chio makers and computer makers are also one of the main share holders in placements. For CSE department the average placements are of 15-20 lakhs but for our department the average drops down to 6 lakhs per annum.

GIET UNIVERSITY - Best place to learn in southern odisha

According to money factor this college is great. Under such low fee college is great for providing course other than any college. I applied for SOA University and course fee is too high there. Also my college is a university. So there is no worry about anything. For admission in giet you have applied for OJEE odisha and contact a marketing officer or direct join in college. You have to pay 10-15 thousand rupees for advance fees. In admission day you have to pay hlaf of your fees in one year. You will get everything in that day. Rank doesn't matter here...Read More
