An Overview of my course and college life

The curriculum is well designed and is backed by research. The course tries to cover everything that one needs to know about the subject. It also takes into account any recent changes made in this field. Thus, the books are updated every year. The 2 year program is divided into 4 semesters and each semester ends with final exams and practical to know how much knowledge the student has grasped about the subject.

The placement opportunities in our college is limited and only the bests of the lot are able to score a decent job. Others have to apply off campus since the rest of the job profiles are not lucrative enough in terms of their benefits. However, the reputation of the college comes in handy when searching for a job because it has a brand name.

The fee charged by the college only includes the tuition fee. Various other fees are changed throughout the year but they may or may not be compulsory for all the students. For a course duration of 2 years, we are charged a total of Rs. 34,343 which is affordable and feasible for the majority of the students.

The students of Sarguja University are multi-talented and engaged in some or the other activities apart from studies. The college has its annual fest every year where a number of students from various college come and take part and it is one of the most memorable experiences for every student in the college.

I am currently studying M.Sc (Environmental Science) from Sarguja University, Chhattisgarh. Candidates who are seeking admission in M.Sc course have to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the university and will be only considered eligible if they have score more than 50% in all the subjects in 10+2 and hold a bachelor? degree in the required field. The admission process was trouble free as I had to fill up the university form online and once the results were out, I had to just submit the required documents in the college.

The faculty of the college is amazing. The teachers are very intellectual and punctual when it come to taking theory classes and lab sessions. We are also taken on field trips to study the subject in real life and the teachers make us read a number of case studies in the class which are very helpful for our understanding.
