Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good and places emphasis on knowledge that students gain. There will be recommended books that the professors will tell you to refer from and it is very important to follow that. There is ample focus on research as well.

Placement Experience

There are no placements as such but the professors organise workshops and seminars so that we can be helped in our job hunts. Occasionally, job fairs are organised as well for the students of Cluster University.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is quite expensive for the chemistry batch when compared to other public universities in India. However, the quality of education and infrastructure is more comparable to private universities. The fees for M.Sc chemistry is Rs. 1,40,000 for both the years.

Campus Life

There are several extracurricular activities within the college itself. Several students unions are active and they are always accept new people. The college is very inclusive when it comes to accepting people and the environment is extremely friendly/.

Admission

There is an entrance exam that we need to clear to get into CU Srinagar. The application process used to be online but now things have changed and it is offline for the time-being. The university authorities have a help desk.

Faculty

The administration and faculty is very friendly and supportive of us at large. They are always willing to listen to our queries and solve our doubts. The professors are well qualified and have interest in teaching, along with ample experience to do so.

Placement Experience:

From the starting of 4th year ,we are eligible to sit in the placement and the ratio is almost 65-70 percent percentage head and for it and cse - increff, microsoft ,make my trip ,paypal ,and visa and for civil - L&T and many sales company

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

IIM Jammu is a spring breaker!

Placement Experience:

Till we are doing BBA there are no placements but from 4th year we are posted directly for MBA and then the placement eligibility starts. Average is between 10-15 lakhs and many prominent industries which we have heard of have started coming to IIM Jammu. Also, placements record were nearly 96% at IIM Jammu.

AIIMS JAMMU TOTAL REVEIW

Placement Experience:

You can get a job here after completing MBBS or md. Can go to any hospital or open your own. 1.5L per month is avg for a doctor. Starting around 90k a month. Internship gives 28500 per month. No batch has currently passed out from this college . Comparatively new college. 2020 batch(oldest batch) still doing internship.
