It is an autonomous institution of government of Karnataka. We have post-graduate seats in all clinical departments and it's a matter of honor for me that it is the only medical college in the country to obtain it in just 5 years .
Course Curriculum Overview
We have semester system in college and at the end of every semester, we have a theory and practical exams, projects, research work and coping up with all of this hardly give me a chance to chill out in the campus.
Placement Experience
Placement is never an issue when you have a 350-bed hospital attached to the college. The college provides long term internships and according to your interest you can either continue working in some government or private hospital or you can start your own clinic.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Government colleges generally don't have higher fees and the amount which I have to pay is 60 thousand each year and it is not much. Plus the fees for SC, ST category students and BPL students are lesser.
Campus Life
The institute ground covers around 54 acres of land and it has Laboratories, Museums, Examination Hall, Auditorium, Lecture Halls, Central Library, in the ground. In addition to that, we have a Gender harassment committee and if you face or witness any such activity you can report about it, although no such serious cases have been reported.
Admission
The form for MBBS is submitted offline. The students who have scored at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2 examination are eligible to fill the form of MBBS. The admission is entrance based and you have to pass the KCET/ NEET-UG test with valid marks to get admission in college.
Faculty
Till now the faculties are good and I can say it without any hesitation and it's not that only MBBS has good faculty but the other courses also have many professors and some of them are really good, their way of teaching, notes, practical everything is up to the mark.
