Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Our curriculum was very vast which provided us a detailed information about a particular subject. In the first and second prof we had subjects like anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, pathology and microbiology. The exams were also well structured as it contained proper division of marks for theoretical and practical subjects.

Placement Experience

3.5

There are good job opportunities in the government and private sectors for a MBBS degree holders. Our college also provided us with a 6 month internship with a stipend of 9000 approx per month , which was compulsory for everybody.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure here is high prices as compared with government colleges. The total fees is approx 31 lakhs for 4 years and 6 months. The fee undergoes increment every year which makes it even more expensive.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many clubs in our college such as dramatics society , literary clubs that organizes various fests. We even have linkage with some of the best international medical colleges in countries like UK and Germany. Many activities and workshops are organised which helped me in my interpersonal growth during all these years in my college.

Hostel Facilities

5

The best hostel facilities are provided here at minimal charges. The hostel fee is 30,000 per year including the mess charges. Many facilities are also provided such as sports field, canteen, conference halls, well equipped labs and classrooms. There is a huge infrastructure that is very welcoming. The environment here is totally calm which feels like home away from home.

Admission

I managed to get admission here as I had secured a good rank in NEET and my CBSE board percentage was above 50% , which is the eligibility criteria for this college. I submitted my application on the form in the prospectus. Along with this I also submitted a demand draft in favor of the registrar, my exam certificates and other related documents.

Faculty

5

The faculty here tries their best to teach in the easiest possible way. They are well experienced and highly knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. They are very supportive and always motivates the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The college provides good opportunities to those who are good at academics and for those who are not good at academics chances for them to placement are very low. During the past year, there were very good companies shown in my college for my seniors, some were very renowned companies and the highest package was something 650000.
