Remarks

Our college have a lot for us, we learn something new each day . Talking about academics it is one of the best college in south in terms of placement , faculty and guidance. Our college provides financial aid for enrollment in professional programs.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have four semesters and in each semester we have common subjects, core subjects and complimentary subject giving us a brief idea about banking and insurance , entrepreneurship development. 75% attendance is mandatory as per college's rules and regulations.

Placement Experience

The career advising and placement cell (CAPC) is responsible for all the placements in our college, they prepare us by guidance classes and assist us review latest and contemporary development in our respective field.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fee lands near about 64,400 which includes the admission fee Rs.1000 , Magazine Fee Rs.100,Festival fee 200. In first year i reimbursed Rs.22,800 and Rs.20800 following next two year. The fee is quite inexpensive in terms of other universities and curriculum.

Campus Life

Our college takes part in anti-ragging campaign, zonal festivals, International students festivals. Our college provides us with career counselling , special coaching for students with finite English proficiency. A full time lady counseling staff is allocated to us for yearly counselling .

Admission

I visited the college campus and had the application form for Rs.100, basically 50% of seats are based on merit and remaining 50% seats are allotted by management.Students envious of getting admission in management quota need to fill form in college campus by paying Rs. 50 as a fee.

Faculty

We have 10 departments in our college , each department for each courses.We have professors who takes our classes on regular basis, we have very few holidays as education is given much priority ,Our professors organizes seminars where we can given speeches as a mentor and also guide our mates.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester only we can know if we are eligible for college placement. Six to seven hotels have come for recruiting students. Around 100 % gettting placements. Maybe i will have MBA in future.

Placement Experience:

My college provides placement for students having good cgpa and a student can apply once they reach 6th sem as i plan on doing B-tech further on my course i really haven't thought about taking placement so i don't have much knowledge about placements provided by my college. As many students aim for further studies and only half of them apply for placement the placement rate is good at our college providing nice packages.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.

The admission process includes allotment process conducted by university of calicut. Also, since it is an unaided college, there is also have management seats which can be bought with some money. FAROOK KOTTAKKAL ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE - REVIEW

I prefer this college over others is basically for many reasons. The college infrastructure is well equipped. As far as a classroom are considered, they are the cleanest one. However, they don't have smartboards. Laboratories are well equipped and updated with new equipment though the library is small but has all the collections of needy books. Canteen is well maintained and hygienic. We have a playground and we do have a seminar hall to conduct occasional events. The good thing about this college is that the fees are very low and they have the good and best faculty members. They are so kind and helpful. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination or examinations recognized as equivalent with 50per marks are eligible for admission. The students will have to give the entrance exam for the admission and based on their merit they will be selected. The admission process starts at the month of April till August.
