Likes

They provide a well furnished labs for physics and chemistry.
There is a walkway with trees on both sides near to the gorund.
Teachers are will knowledgeable and provide good mentorship.

Dislikes

Only book mentoring, nothing outside of the book.

Course Curriculum Overview

The university provided good and understandable curriculum. Every topics are deep and wide so that there will be finishing for a particular topic. If the teaching method has a change, they should guide students out of the book and should get in to the nature.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 24000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee for the whole curriculum was around 73000. Beyond semester fee, there will be seperate fee for the exams conducting in between each semesters and also for semester exams. Also we have to bought book from shops. There are many state and national level scholarships for students who needed.

Admission

The admission process includes allotment process conducted by university of calicut. Also, since it is an unaided college, there is also have management seats which can be bought with some money. The students with above 65% score has chance to get seat through allotment. There is no group discussion or interview for the admission process.

Teachers are well educated and experienced. They provide good guidance for the students in each and every steps. We can interact with them every minute. They are very helpful. Faculties are very friendly so there is no shield between students and teachers.

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Excellent college with good academics

Likes

Loved the college campus and academic approach campus is very vast and diverse provide good classroom environment
Teachers are very supportive and friendly to every student there
Management of college doesn’t torture students like in the other colleges

I didnt like the place where college is located that much
I think strictness can be little less in academic
It need to improve in digital teaching methods

Balanced campus life and quality of education

The teachers were suppourtive and explained the subject clearly
The college campus was clean ,peacful and had a good learning atmosphere

No placement were there so students had to took jobs on their own
Some classrooms and laboratory facilities needed improvement

The course curriculum was well structured and covered the fundamental concepts in all details .It included both theoretical and practical learning ,which helped in understanding the subject better .Internal assessment, assignments and semester examinations were conducted regularly.The exams were of moderate difficulty and manageable with regular study.

Academic excellence in a beautiful campus

Likes

Academic excellence is there. 90 % of students are merit based admission, those who have achieved 90 and above percentage in 12 th grade. So there is high passing percentage.
Cultural programs are regularly conducted. Don't feel stressed out by studies

Dislikes

Sports activities are not regularly conducted or encouraged
Chemistry lab is not clean, chemicals are not kept correctly

My favourite subject is biology. I have applied for zoology course but unfortunately there is no seats available at that time, so I chose Botany which is also my favourite. The curriculum is perfect and prepares for real world. More practical sessions are needed. Every 6 months there will be semester exam. Which is not that much tough.

There is a thing that i don't like is that is the juniors can't participate in dance session for programs that occurring in our college. Only seniors are participating for it and also the dressing for some event are controlled by the Seniors. Buuutt
In college facilities there is not that much places for sitting during the intervals. That makes everyone bothered.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The course is available in private college therefore there must be fee. The admission fees for this course is 25000.and for those who take admission by management they want to give 50000.after that there is semester fees, which is 16000 for every semester.Our lab and tuition fees are including in this, exam fee we want to pay on the time of exam. In college competitive our course have a greater fee comparing to others. There is scholarship for the category's like SC, ST. Not know the exact amount of scholarship.

I prefer this college over others is basically for many reasons. The college infrastructure is well equipped. As far as a classroom are considered, they are the cleanest one. However, they don't have smartboards. Laboratories are well equipped and updated with new equipment though the library is small but has all the collections of needy books. Canteen is well maintained and hygienic. We have a playground and we do have a seminar hall to conduct occasional events. The good thing about this college is that the fees are very low and they have the good and best faculty members. They are so kind and helpful. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination or examinations recognized as equivalent with 50per marks are eligible for admission. The students will have to give the entrance exam for the admission and based on their merit they will be selected. The admission process starts at the month of April till August.
