It is a state university. The university was established in 2015. Campus is located in an urban area. It is affiliated to UGC and AICTE. Vice chancellor of the institute is Mohan paul singh ishar. 85% of the seats are reserved for candidates from Punjab.

B tech in civil, textile, CS, EEE, mechanical, IT, aeronautical; MBA in general, finance, marketing, HRM; BBA, BCA, bsc; b tech lateral entry are available. All the courses are designed in a proper way and all are approved by AICTE.

There is 60-70% placement happening every year in this college. Companies like wipro, bajaj finsery, clicklabs, jana small finance bank visit the campus for recruiting candidates. There is also a t&p cell to look after the placements.

B tech fee is around 90000 rupees per annum, MBA fee is 73000 per annum course duration 2 years, bsc fee is 15000 per annum, BBA and BCA fee are 36000 per annum, Msc fee is around 45000 per annum. Mtech fee is 85000 rupees per annum.

Various events, debates and quizzes are held throughout the year by the clubs and societies. The college also organizes inter branch sports tournaments. The gender ratio of the college is well balanced. Labs are properly maintained.

I got admission in this college on the basis of jee main score through counselling process. One has to show all the intermediate certificates and marksheet with required marks to complete the admission process.

The faculty members are cooperative and helpful. They are well qualified and experienced in their respective fields. Counsellings and doubt sessions are held by them from time to time. Most of them are from Punjab.
