Remarks

I always had a goal to become a doctor which I'm on the path to, with MAIDS. This is the best dental college and I feel grateful and lucky to have such an amazing institute. It has all the facilities and best teaching staff. The exposure is huge and knows how to build a doctor with proper code of conduct and principles

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The MAIDS is government college, ranked number 1 all over India and has the facilities of all the possible medical supplies, full lab and practical exposure. The teachers are well known doctors and provide the most hard tasks performed very smoothly. The subjects in the first year are related to basic medical knowledge of 12th, second year has details of the human anatomy and from the third year we have been studying teeth structure and related knowledge. The fourth year is mainly practical and 5th year is our internship year where we would be able to assist senior doctors and help the patients.Exams are taken at the end of each year and regular class test internals are given too.

Placement Experience

5

The best dental college has the best working government hospital which gives us the chance to serve the people. At the end of our internship we would be asked to fill up the entrance examination and give in the interview for the MAIDS hospital. The marks obtained from the educational years would also determine the chance to serve.Besides everyone needs a dentist, we can open our own clinic or apply in the private hospitals or nursing homes which makes the course?s scope bright.

College Events

5

The college sponsors many festivals and we all celebrate every fest with enthusiasm and craa, since the diversity of the college is so vast. We have separate sport?s day and annual functions. PULSE is the event hosted by AIIMS where all the government colleges? students come and compete in fashion shows, singing or dancing.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The facilities provided by the college with such a practical exposure, the government takes all the sponsoring for the students and the fees for general category is INR 25,000 per annum. SC and ST, INR 10,000-5,000.The latest lab technologies with instruments are provided and sponsored by the government. In comparison to the private colleges who take lakhs per semester.

Campus Life

5

Our campus has all the kinds of sports which we play in our free time and also organize events with faculty or seniors. The grounds are well maintained and clean, college fund sponsors these sports. The medical labs are properly maintained and sanitised, given they have proper equipment, all the latest technologies and most important, every vaccine is available. We have small gardens which are filled with flowers and give away stress in winters under the sun. The college is surrounded by many other government colleges like Maulana medical college, Lok Nayak etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is located on campus for both the students and faculty. The food served is both vegetarian and non vegetarian which is healthy and tasty. The mess has strict timings and limited food. The ward is managed by the warden for each building and security guards. The environment is safe and friendly, co-head stays are not available.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior doctors are supportive and guide us through the difficulties in the exam time. The sessions from alumni doctors are given once in a week, many of our alumni are senior doctors who often assist in conducting us through. They do not have any ego or unlikely attitude, treating us like students they inspire us to be like them. My personal guide is one of the alumni doctors.

Admission

The admission process for bachelors in dental was based on the NEET exam which is an all India entrance exam for any medical course from the government college. 50% marks from the 12th result and 50% marks of the NEET result decides the admission chance out of 40 students taken annually. The rank on your NEET exam decides whether you will be considered in the first list of the admission or the third. After the declaration of results we need to fill up the applicant form from the All India Pre-Dental Entrance Examination Unit. The course is 5 years long and completely government oriented making the fees minimal. You can apply through the management quota too but they are high priced.

Faculty

5

Getting admission in MAIDS is a dream for most of the dental aspirants as the teaching staff is composed of the best doctors. We have all the cream layers of dental doctors who teach through their experience and let us perform the operations on our own. The college has a lot of guest doctor lecturers coming and giving their input from their perception.Apart from the exposure they provide us with extra knowledge related to our career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In regard to the relevancy of the course Im quite fond of the subjects such as BL CA AND HRM they give us the better insights for both practical and theoritical knowledge making us ready for the "real" world . As For the improvement i feel like there should be some flexibility in GE so that students can choose a sub as per their choice as Hindi is fixed for me which isnt quite suitable for my course and it just drags my CGP down. The frequency if the exam is okay but the timing I feel like its way too fast just after first sem exam we had classes and all test and felt like it went on a spur

Students become eligible for campus placements around 5th to 6th semester. Highest package of 2024 was 25LPA. Usually 8CGPA is considered a sweet spot for campus placements plus it gets them easier to get into world class universities for post graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
