Amazing college

GMAT, I scored 700. I opted for ISB because it is the best school for MBA in India. Moreover, only ISB accepts GMAT scores to evaluate applications. Now, certain others have started accepting. Lastly, it is a one year programme as compared to other two year programmes in India.

Syllabus is divided into 8 terms of 45 days each. A student has an option to select 3-5 electives every term and a student had to a mandatory of 16 electives during the course. She can specialise in Strategy, Finance, Operations and so on. Detailed list of specialisations is available on website of ISB.

As this is a one year executive programme having already experienced students present, it does not have an internship included within the curriculum. I am sure other b-schools also do not have an internship in their executive MBA programmes.

The fee structure at ISB is on the higher side for sure 25 lacs (incl. tuition and accommodation). This is however fine because it is a one year programme. If the opportunity cost of not studying for another year is reduced from the cost, it is much more affordable then other programmes.

There are a set of banks authorised with ISB who offer loans at best interest rates. The best thing is that they do not ask for collateral/security. There are series of scholarship that ISB offers in-house. These includes part as well as full waiver of scholarship. These are majorly merit based scholarships.

Exam structure vary from elective to elective. But, in general, we have exams two times each term. So there is a mid term and end term at the end of each term. This is above the projects/assignments that are also graded.

The faculty standards at ISB are best in class globally. We had faculties arriving from schools such as Haward, Wharton, Stanford, Tuck, Ross, Rochester, NYU-Stern and other most reputed organisations in the world. The faculty quality here has been much beyond my expectations here.
