Remarks

It's a good medical college which you can practice so much as this is one of the busiest Medical college hospital ... I got admission through merit cut-off ... I scored 197.0 in 12 th and I attended counseling through TNMGR University ... Here the ambience is very cool and it's a clean environment with lots of trees in and around the college campus

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because its my passion from my earlier days ... We have faculty students ratio of 1:10 All the facilities have finished MBBS and 60 % of them completed PG degree ... They teach through PPT , Real life case discussion , OP classes , AV classes .. U have one exam for every year upto 4 years and it was much difficult to pass in the exams

There is no campus placement in government hospitals directly .. we have write exams . I have planned to start a Clinic in my hometown

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no fees hike policy here and we pay government allotted fees only Rs. 10000 - 13000 per year + book fee 8000 . TN government provides scholarship of Rs.15000 every year for us ... After finishing final year , we will get stipend for working as an CRRI Intern .

White Coat Beginnings

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Life in CMC

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

The medical college and hospital is at Mundiyampakkam village, Villupuram District. Being located at a village, the medical college focuses on maintaining good health of rural people.
