Remarks

First of all a nice and green campus fully maintained by students. Hostels are affordable and some of them are even good. 4 boys hostels and 1 girls hostel both inside the campus. Girls hostel timings are pretty annoying they have to get inside the hostel at 6.30 in the evening and boys are allowed to go out up to 8 only. Teaching is good particularly in Coe block and Bba block. Teachers are of less experience and age but still hardworking. Placement is an average of 3-4 LPA for 70% of the students rest either don't opt for it or are rejected on the basis of short attendance or backlogs..Nice environment to study.. calm place near Chandigarh so you can enjoy your college life. Pg is also there just in front of the college gates. Overall average Tier 3 college with a good atmosphere.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I got a suggestion from my family friend. Exams are quite easy if you do hard work and rest Ptu is the boss of uncertainty. My block has a section of 64 students each in which it is further divided into two subgroups. lectures are taken of both together and practical work group wise. Teachers from the second year are hard working. but for freshers, they might feel that teachers are not permanent and they change course teachers too often

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Internships provided by the college is very bad. try to get it in your 3 years by doing hard work till 2 years last as in starting of 3 year big companies come for placements .do a lot of coding and crack that .they will also give you PPO which means pre-placement offer .. in that you will be placed in that company just after your college ends.

Placement Experience

3.5

Let us take an example of my class of 64 students out of it 10-15 students will be either absent for interviews or will be not allowed to sit due to backlogs. rest 50 will be allowed to sit out pf that nearly 25-30 will get the placement of 3-4 LPA or less. and 2-3 will get above 4 and below 7lpa and only 1 or less lucky one will get above 9lpa. Rest its just an ideal class with all kinds of students rest on your work.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees if 47k for even sem and 43k for the odd one. it's for BTech and some times it gets vice versa.. and 700 for parivartan fest this year apart from tuition fees is taken. Rest hostels are starting from 40k per semester for 4 seaters and the best one is the new boy's hostel for 45k for 3 seaters according to me.. and there is one more option of 50k per semester for 2 seaters..this is for boys . and for girls it's 40k fixed for 4 seaters until you get senior and get better hostels which are again the same price per seater as of boys

Campus Life

4

Clubs are the best part of college you can enjoy your full college life here. Here are various clubs like photography, Virasat, Dramatics, literary. and there is one big fest called parivartan.

Hostel Facilities

3

4 seater rooms are too bad for living. but 3 seaters and 2 seaters are by far better in every aspect. Clean toilets etc. But according to me it's better to go for pg just in front of gate as it will be cheaper and have better facilities like ac attached toilets etc.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
