Remarks

I had given many competitive exams and got rank in SRMJEE, so got an email to be present on 3rd May 2019 for counselling purpose, their many parents came with their ward, people announcing rank-wise so children can go fill the forms regarding 1st-year fee and admission. In this process, I get to choose the stream I wanted (Computer Science Engineering specialisation in Software Engineering). After one month on 21st June, I had to be there for hostel and enrollment purpose. And my classes started on the 1st of July. College is somehow good, you will get a nice environment for self-study, a library which is open till 2 am in the night you can study and do projects theirs with campus wifi. KTR campus is the largest of all SRM campuses in India, hygienic and eco-friendly environment, there are a large playground and a 400m running track for fitness indoor tennis court. Hostel-cleanliness is good. If you have SRM in mind go ahead, you will have a good learning experience.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I am interested in software development and wanted to learn deeply in this field. Software development had a very broad requirement in tech companies. Faculty is decently good, they help students in joining internships and courses which is helpful for computer engineering. And the student ratio is 70 per class. Faculty is highly educated and their methods for teaching is nice. In a few subjects like (Physics), you will get bored. Exams are conducted after three-cycle tests (CT1, CT2, CT3) each semester end. It totally depended on their teaching, you just listen and take notes and keep yourself updated for next day, else you will keeping forget.

Placement Experience

4

From 8th-semester students get eligible for placements. Companies like Amazon, CISCO, DBS, SAP Labs, HSBC Google, Goldman Sachs, Directi, Microsoft and so on. Microsoft recruited a student with a package of Rs. 38.5 lakhs per annum. Average package is of 4-6Lakhs. Above 90% of students get placed. To get a decent job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are divided into tuition (2,50,000) depend on your course and hostel (1,02,500) includes mess fee. The hostel has its own category AC and Non-Ac, 2-4 sharing rooms and washroom included and not included ones have different prices.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual festival is Milan conducted in March and tech-fest is Aarush conducted in August-September. The library is full books for all streams arts to engineering. You can easily issue books and get them renewed at last issue day. In every classroom, there is a projector for presentations and showing some tech videos. Sports is also taken care, campus organise cricket and football tournaments. There is a gym open to all. From social to tech work you can get equipment and place to work.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

My room is Non-Ac 4 sharing. It has 3 wall-fans and 3 tube lights and a switch for every person besides their bed. Each gets their own desk and chair for study and cupboard for keeping their stuff in it. Meal quality is good, you will get a different meal every day and at the festival, you get a special item for dinner and lunch. The hostel is inside the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculums are good (it depends on depts) and they are updated and new electives/ cbcs are added thus updating curriculum and there are subject with heavy lab which don't have end sem instead lab and only internal which is not what other colleges have. they also have open book test for subjcts like programming languge so students can focus on learning the language instaed of memorizing. however as we are batch of a new regulation we are not aware of kind of questions that would come. however forthcoming batches won't be having this issue. unlike other collges only 2 internal exams and 1 semester is conducted. both the internal is given equal weightage ( having unit 1&2 and 3&4 for each exams) and retest is also conducted for internal however even if one exam not written they need to write all 4 unit incase of health issues etc. 50% internal and 50% external. so if having good internal can easlity score well in total. However if one fails to secure internal then passing the subject becomes very hard. Core subjects however prepares well for real-world. however i feel curriculums should be slightly revised so that students learn everyhting systematically instead of memorizing. Sometimes academic calendars are not given prior

According to my college official website, so far in this year, the students here have got over 3000 placements by March and the number keeps growing. They don't specifically share the exact amount the students are placed for but the highest this year so far is 43.5 LPA. And this has been consistent over last few years.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college are moderate but improving each year. The placement cell conducts aptitude training, coding practice sessions, resume building workshops, and mock interviews to help students prepare for recruitment. Every year several companies visit the campus for placements and offer roles in fields such as software development, core engineering, and technical support. On average, a good number of students from each batch get placed, especially those who maintain good academic performance and technical skills. The average salary package offered is around ?3–5 LPA, while some students receive higher packages depending on their skills and the company. Apart from campus placements, many students also apply for off-campus opportunities, internships, or choose to pursue higher studies such as M.Tech or MBA to improve their career prospects. Overall, the college provides decent placement support and guidance for career development.
