MBSCET - Jammu

Faculty in MCA was one good remark. If you are good at skipping the classes, you can enjoy outside.

The curriculum they used to follow for the University of Jammu. The curriculum was designed by the faculty from the University of Jammu and I'll not say it was perfect, however, I can rate it 6/10. MBSCET faculty was good in providing the required guidance to the students and help them go through n understand the curriculum.

Placememt, ahh. That is the only thing college lagged behind in. Only a couple of companies came in my time at the college. That too, these were not any high profile companies.

There were a couple of events going on on the city organized by different colleges. Our college was way behind in thest cultural events. However, they organized a couple of techinical events during my course duration between 2012-2015. Later I got to know they organized a cultural event as well.

Little expensive, at an average. They used to charge around 55-60k per year for MCA which costed us more than 1. 5 Lacs in 3 years of our course duration. They used to provide scholarship as per my knowledge, however only to some students of a particular community.

I didn't apply for any scholarships. The scholarships they used to provide was for a particular community and not for all.

Labs were well equipped. Extracurricular was not that good. It was not valued much by the organizing committee. Sports, not at all. People had to skip the classes without being seen to go for some sports. Yes, an annual technical cum cultural cum educational event was organized by the University which they allowed us to participate in.

I never opted for the hostel. I'm not sure about the quality of that. Heard from a couple of friends and they mentioned it is not that good. Location of the hostels as per Girls was not good. It was somewhere in the ruins where people used to throw garbage etc.

Individually if we approach the faculty from our dept, yes they do help us. But if we reach out to the college email address or the phone number, they might or might not provide the info or nay help asked for.

I applied for the entrance examination after I completed B. C. A. According to the score, I was given the option to choose from the list of colleges. Out of which I chose MBSCET which is located in Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir. It's infrastructure and the location makes it perfect for the college life.

I will rate them 7/10 on average. Somewere 8/10 or 9/10 and a couple of them 6/10, that is why overall 7/10. Individually they were well equipped with the knowledge about the subject and were able to deliver what is asked for by the students, however, sometimes they will have to check and look for the answers which is completely acceptable.
