Entrance Preview

I qualified Kashmir University Common Entrance Test, they tend to select 60 candidates out of which only 27 seats are for General Category and i was luckily one of them as around 2000 candidates apply from whole kashmir valley in the said entrance for MCA. i got 58 points out of 100 and cut off was 64.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course is good but syllabus is pretty much old with no emphasis on latest technology and research teachers are somehow good but what lacks is commitment in them they have turned into bizarre due to prevailing situation in kashmir.

Internships Opportunities

Internship was held at HCL technologies dellhi and it turned out to be a disaster with no companies coming for placements the very own placement cell of kashmir university is dis functional as well i believe they have not placed a single student since decades.

Placement Experience

0.5

No one was placed and i believe no one will ever be placed the placement cell is literally handicapped.

College Events

2

Sonzal the only one festival held annually at campus is a cultural festival with emphasis on traditional culture of kashmir. Hardly any average student turned out for the festival which ran around Management people and the administration.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is awesome having almost identical gender ratio the campus is lush green situated on the banks of world famous Dal Lake and having Naseem Bagh(almost 600-700 chinars) standing to welcome you in the lap of nature. Universities physical education department each year organizes sports activities almost in most of indoor and outdoor sports activities, debates too but lacks to have technology oriented extra curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel are not that hygienic and stuffy but hostel life is awesome there i have spent 2 and half years at MAK boys hostel and that period turned out to be yet best of my life.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni and senior students almost are sleeping cells, having no impact on universities, may be this is because of ban on students union there. KUSU(Kashmir university students union) was banned by university in 2009 when i was in ist year of my course there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decisions to choose this course include its alignment with my career goals, the inclusion of practical project and the reputation of faculty. A good curriculum should bridge the gap between theoretical and practical real world application. It should include case studies, industry projects, and internships. For students intending to pursue further academic studies, the curriculum should provide a solid foundation in the subject matter and offer opportunities for advanced reseacrh or specialization. Overall a well-designed curriculum should be dynamic, responsive to changing industry needs and supportive of students learning journey, whether they intend to enter the workforce immediately or pursue further academic studies.
