Remarks

Maybe there's nothing "bad" about the college. Studying in such college is a privilege and a blessing. The second you enter the college/hostel campus, you start getting shaped for your future by your friends, roommates and teachers. Discipline is one of the most important elements of life that I've learned here. College management is good. You may think negative about the college or hostel campus for a certain amount of time but not permanently. Honestly, we hostelers sometimes miss our hostel and it's active life very much when we are staying at home.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our Course Curriculum and Exam Structure is very diverse and interesting. Since NPGC is an autonomous college, it decides it's own curriculum. The assignments we get for our internal assessment are very research driven and help us to look at things from our own, innovative perspective.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement cell is very active in the college. They keep organising workshops/seminars/webinars in the college campus. They're very helpful in discovering the hidden skills of a person and pointing them towards the right direction for their better future. Some of the companies that have visited our college are - IBM, TCS, WIPRO, GENPACT etc.

College Events

3.5

The college keeps organising various events in a regular basis. Most significant events are organised on India's Independence Day and Republic Day. Quizzes are also organised on a regular basis to develop students for competitive exams. Sports tournaments are also organised both in collaboration with Lucknow University and the college hostel.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is certainly feasible for the courses offered in our college. The payment mode accepted here is through Demand Draft or Card Swipe. There's no additional charges are required to secure admission in our college. The college provides transparency and fee-breakdown on its website.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I didn't opt for any student loan or scholarship. Although, students in need can avail them through a state government programme and enjoy the benefits. Many of my fellow hostelers received concessions in their hostel fees upto 5000 INR.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is pleasant here at NPGC. Gender ratio is almost equal between boys and girls, it's really isn't a big concern for us. Making friends across genders is not a tough job. People are very friendly here. Cultural societies across different faculties are active from time to time. There's no such incident or feeling of discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status. Many of the students here prepare for the government competitive exams so it creates a well balanced environment of both fraternity and learning together.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I had opted for Hostel since I migrated here from another state. The hostel is alloted on merit basis and I fortunately got a room. The room can be shared between 6, 3 or 2 occupents according to availability of space and common courses. There are different areas designated for students of different courses to be together and help each other academically. Basic amenities are duly taken care of. The hostel campus is surrounded by lush green lawns and there's va playground nearby. There are seperate hostels for girls and boys.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior are also really helpful both socially and academically. We keep in touch every now and then. There are motivational exchange between us. They guide us in a very good manner. Alumni visit the campus and talk with current students occasionally. Seniors living in hostel are also very friendly vand helpful. There's definitely a bond.

Admission

I have a great interest in Psychology. I always wanted to study about it. So I found this college on a website. I saw it suited my needs and environment. I appeared for the entrance exam and qualified in it. The simple admission process was soon completed. We had been oriented and the classes started the day after the orientation day.

Faculty

4

Their are different faculties for different courses in our college. All of them are undoubtedly well qualified for their jobs. They are helpful both socially as well as academically. For B. A, their are 2 lecturers for 2 different papers in one subject. Both take their classes in a coordinated sync and make sure the syllabus gets completed in time, without any doubt left unattended.

I have interest in psychology that's why I adapt this course. got to know so many things about psychology and which help me to know people better really help me in my day today life. But the professor need to explain more and do not give illusionary examples. Did they have to try to explain in real world scenario. The courses is difficult and the paper is so lengthy give three hours to write and the people is so many that the time is insufficient they need to give more time if they expect to fill 24 pages of answer sheet.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
