Remarks

There are so many good things and THOOTHUKUDI medical College. The college is situated near the city. It's not a metropolitan city but a great one. I joined here on July 8 of 2019. The college looks a bit old but it is not too old since the array is established in 2001. Here students can concentrate on their studies because like other medical colleges in India here ads and other festivals are limited. There are arts festivals and sports also but they are in a controlled manner. There is no politics in college. Every year there are 150 students are joining the college for MBBS and 15% off is 150 will be all India quota students. They are students not only from Tamil Nadu also from Kerala and North Indian states. There is an airport in this city which is not international. Students from Tamilnadu can get admission here through Tamilnadu medical administration. And people from other states can also apply to hear my all India quota seats. I am an AIQ student.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this because I love to be a doctor. Here in every department, there are many faculties as required all of them are postgraduates. The teaching of the college faculties there is nothing to say about them because the teaching style is like your school. So you don't want to be worried about anything. There will be a monthly internal examination for every subject. And examination will be quiet tough to pass but we can make it if we persevere.

Internships Opportunities

4

After 4 and half year of study, the student should work as an intern in the hospital. This internship is called a compulsory rotatory residential internship. For this student will get stipend every month. And this internship is very necessary for MBBS students.

Placement Experience

2

There is no campus placement for medical students here but as everyone that a doctor is a doctor. MBBS student has the law of opportunities in India and outside India, campus placement is not required. But nowadays post-graduation is kind of necessary.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is the order of the government. It has nothing to do with that. Now the fees per annum are doubt 14000 and there will be extra charges for the mess hostel fees. Also when the exam came you have to pay for the examination fees. Providing so many scholarships every year for professional students you can check it on the government website.

Campus Life

3

There will be so many seminars and the fest will be conducted every year. There will be arts and sports like Tamil mandram, hostel day, Culturals, blood donation camp, sports every year.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Three students in a room. The food is so awesome. There will be special foods every Sunday and Saturday. And in some weekdays. We can hope for a hostel when we join the college or after some time if it is available. Paying guest facilities also available outside the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It deals with patient care and clinical diagnosis along with hands on training the influenced my decision to take up this course. Through ward postings, history taking and case discussion it prepares me well for my PG exams and further future pursuits. Skill based learning should be emphasised more along with small group teaching. Sometimes the close spacing of exams can be very stressful. Difficulty level is appropriate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.
