Remarks
College Director was slow in making decisions about upgrading facilities. It was a poor attitude towards student management.
Entrance Preview
CAT & MAT. 90+ percentile. Its well developed with high technology and good infra, north indian students, a residential college, decent placements, Bengaluru is good for study location
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was high on content and presentations, students were all out for more internships and projects, external/guest faculties were a regular part of the course.
Internships Opportunities
Cognizant, Dell, HCL, Accenture, Dominos. Stipend in internship was Re.0 to Rs. 15000. There a few about 5-10 who managed to get internships outside Bengaluru.
Placement Experience
Placements are decent and expect you to complete college with more focus on applied knowledge. Job Opportunities were ample about 2-3 with all who sat for the interview. Packages offered were between 3 lakhs to 8 lakhs/ p.a. Companies visited were Club Mahindra, Taj Group of Hotels.
College Events
Allumni Meets, Cultural fests, Felicitation Functions were a regular part of the college event calendar. Student-Teacher Bonding was also ensured with trips to near by scenic and adventure locations.
Fee Structure And Facilities
In 2005, when I joined the fee was 4.5 lakhs fora 2-year degree program. Now, it is about 11 lakhs for the same program. I can assure that with the deliverables and the industry interface which is currently being offered, it is feasible to invest in a location like Bengaluru.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, there were no scholarships. However, there were cases when a company was impressed with the presentation skills of a candidate and they offered him join with a bonding offer and will also pay the last semester fees.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel was good enough, though the monitoring was ok. You were made responsible as we are grown-ups however, the food at campus was good healthy and hygenic.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni netwrok was not so strong when I entered and graduated. We took a good long time to get connected with pass out students. However, once connected, you could have them asking for you.
Exam Structure
It was more towards a hectic schedule of high-end presentations and case study discussions with senior professors and class teachers for rating our skill sets. We were given an equal opportunity to stretch out with relaxation days as well.
Faculty
Faculty were all post graduate and infact a few 3-4 were Ph.D and a few 3-4 were pursuing research work. All Faculty had industry experience from various sectors and shared a good insight on economics and growth.
