College management should focus more on bringing companies to the college for placements so that the students can get a job after getting their graduation completed.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is more or less more inclined to theoritical knowledge. It should be made more industry driven so as to make the education system more better and provide more exposure of the industrial world to the students. There were couple of industrial visits scheduled during the tenure.
Placement Experience
Placement of my college was on average side. There is a training and placement cell which tries to bring the companies to the college for campus. Also few pool campus was also arranged in coordinaton with other colleges. Around 30-40 % of the students were placed from the company itself.
College Events
Shivanjali, Independence day, Republic day, Teacher's day, Annual fest, Robotics workshop and competition. Annual fest was the biggest of all the programs. 3 days of cultural programs, dance etc by students, the Senior Management leaders also addressed and awarded the students doing well followed by lunch organised by the college for all students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible. The program fee at my time for open category i. e general was around 45k pa, for caste it was around 22k and for SC/ST was around Rs 800. College also provided the scholarships. The payment mode was challan from the bank. Yes, there was transparency in the fees collected.
Fees and Financial Aid
It had to be applied by filling up forms from the students section attaching all the required documents. scholarship varied from 10-90 % of the program fees.
Campus Life
25 female -35 male was the ratio of girls boys in my section. The rules were very strict. There was no ragging culture as ragging is completely banned in Maharashtra. Girls and boys in were friendly with each other and had many celebrations and parties together.
Hostel Facilities
No. but have heard about the hostel. Our college provided hostel accommodation to the girl candidates only. at that time the charge was around 3-4k per month including food. The hostel food was not good as had heard from my friends living there.
Alumni/Alumna
No. they are not helpful and they hardly happen. People don't turn out as they are busy in their life.
Admission
After AIEEE( now jee, cet) you can apply for colleges under Maharashtra board and depending on your CET score you will get colleges. List will be displayed as per your obtained marks. The process of allocation occurs over months periods and in 2-3 rounds depending on the seat availability.
Faculty
Faculty was good. They had fair knowledge of the subject they taught. few of the staff members were friendly and easily approachable for any doubts. Some faculties also conducted extra lectures to explain the important topics. some of the lecturers were gold medalist and PhD holders in their area and had industrial expertise as well.
