Remarks

The College is very enjoyable in this atmosphere. The down side is hostel fees and infrastructure. But curricular activities and extra curricular are both very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

MBBS is mainly for clinical exposure. U need to see as many cases as possible to analyse any situation. Communication is key to learn what to say and get information from the patient for the diagnosis. There are Visits and surveys we conduct to grow health in rural areas in Comm Med postings.

Placement Experience

3.5

I haven't got amy internships But in the college they conduct a gold medal exam which gives Books and Prizes to the Best students. We have visits to primary health care centres where we meet rural patients and treat them.

College Events

4.5

We conduct Fresher's Day, Saree day or ethnic wear day, intra sports conducted for all and Yoga Day. and The Best Farewell. Sports also for women including throwball and basketball. Men sports Football, cricket. We prepare for other college competitions and Win many prizes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's very feasible for a private Clg It only avails Govt. Fees Only Hostel is too expense but surroundings Rent for houses are low and very Safe. The college doesn't Chatge too much on fees for Labs etc. Autopsy and Travel in Bus charges are extra. The give receipts for all cash paid. And Mess Bill's for food are put up each month and on division basis.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed for any loan. But I got the procedure from frnds. We need to get the bonafide and apply. Plus the fees is reduced for first graduates in the families.

Campus Life

2.5

Gender ratio is 2:1. MBBS is dominated by girls. But Boys equally competitive in studies. Sports conducted for both genders. Boys Football, cricket, badminton, volleyball, indoor games like table tennis. Girls throwball and basketball. We have many Hindus in clg. And a Great Christian community meetings for Prayer and preachings.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yes. I am a Hosteller I availed an AC room since the hot temperature of chennai. There are Non Ac rooms also. Each Batch have Their own floor. The Boys hostel each room has 3 beds and 2 attached washrooms a Heater and A Dining hall. Girls hostel is similar exception that they have a common washroom.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are interns and ex students they give us valuable ideas to help ourself through the course structure. They help us in Clinial side for exposure with patients.

Admission

Firstly I choose MBBS for service to community and Wanted to make my parents proud. I wrote my NEET exam after a strenuous 12th Final Boards. I scored 300 plus only. I was worried I got seat in Muthukumaran medical college. I had my doubts at first. But I warmed up too the staff and teaching guidelines.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.
