Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is decided by Gujarat technological university when I was a student, now our college trust making their own university. Course curriculum is best in terms of technical knowledge. I got placement through the college. It was an great experience.
Placement Experience
Placement scenario is best for computer / information technology branch. (Almost 90%+ ) for all other branchs its around 60% due to high intake and current trends.
College Events
IMAZE, Engineer's day, Annual Day, international paper summits, Holi, ganesh visarjan, new year, Rangtali. IMAZE is the iconic event if GCET, around 500 students are participating everyyear from GCET and other nearby colleges. Robocon is also there. Where specific branch students are making robots.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees are around 1. 10 LPA. Yes college provide transparency. At the time I were in college fees are accepted as a cash or cheque payment. No additional fees for any admission confirmation. The process is always under the umbrella of government agency ACPC.
Fees and Financial Aid
No. I am not aware about such scholarship as I never came into any situation of availing that benefit. But yes some options are available for scholarship.
Campus Life
The atmosphere in college is very good interms of learning and having fun. Gender ration is 1/3. Labs are fully equipped. Lab technicians are also very experienced. No there is no storm parties. Yes there are workshops arranged by AUTOCAD, NDT systems. No tolerance regarding religion and any political views.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, hostel service is average at the time when we were there. After that there is drastic change in the facilities. Hostels rooms are neet n clean. 3 students are sharing the same room. PG's avg rental is 10% higher than college hostel's fees. And many options are easily available for staying outside of hostels.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, alumni section is controlled by mr. vivek deshpandey. I am in contact with many of my seniors currently working in good firms. Jimir doshi working in infosys, workee a lot during college time and after that for improvement in personality in profession.
Admission
I got admission through Gujarat government authorities ACPC through 12th Merritt including ( 60% board+40% JEE). I chose GCET because of best learning environment and good placement offers. ACPC releasing first merrit list based on which you are alloted one college from your preference list. After that more 2-3 rounds will be there. You can skip any round if you got what you already wanted. And after all 3 rounds. you admission is finalized.
Faculty
Around 20 lecturers in our mechanical department. Avg age is 35 yr. Most of them are having masters degree and among them 5-6 having PhD. 4-5 lecturers are already worked in industries before they joined our college. They are very interactive and their methods are very good. There experience speaking while they are teaching us.
