Honest opinion of IMT Nagpur

IMT Nagpur is a average college with a average placement but a very good social campus life. It is located in the heart of the country which makes transportation convenient for any people from various locations of the country.

The course curriculum and exam structure is based on pedagogy which is based on 15 years of college existence experience which is more of action oriented program rather than focusing only on theories. This makes one more practical and ready when it comes to facing real world. Multiple industrial visits are organised through out the program.

The placement is average not so good or not so bad. Multiple companies like Orient, Tata Aig, ICICI BANK, crisil, etc visit the college for campus drive program. Some general steps for the recruitment process includes aptitude test, group discussion followed by interview. Every year atleast 75% of students get placement taking average package of 7 lacs.

Inter and intra sports, cultural events are celebrated very frequently through out the program. Some like national events consisting of Dance, fashion show, Acting, contest based on marketing, financial knowledge. But students are not appreciated and supported to go to other colleges as college does not support students for the travelling allowance and absent is marked in terms of attendance when a student is gone out for any contest which is very disappointing for a student to showcase his talent.

The program fee is around 1200000-1400000 Rs which is accepted by any mode of transaction to college bank account. Around 200000 Rs have to he paid for 6 semesters through out the program. Generally there is no additional fees other than security deposit of around 20000 Rs which is taken in the very first semester during admision.

College offers scholarship opportunities to students based on merit list and financial background. Average sum is around 3 lacs provided to the students which is given after intense process and is given to around 4-5 students only from a large batch of 360 students.

Campus life is very happening of IMT Nagpur and you will miss this two years throughout your life. The lush green campus with red bricks is seen throughout the college campus. The gender ratio is equal between boys and girls. College is rich in diversity as enormous students from various places of all over the country. The life starts when the college lectures get over as you get indulge in various sports, cultural activities with also a huge library for those who are fan of books.

Opting for hostels is mandatory which involves sharing rooms of two people and common washroom which is very well maintained and taken care. Sports facilities are provided with well maintained grounds and equipments.

The alumni network is so strong of the college and when it comes to college campus drive the alumni network is very poor. But the alumni helps when it comes to recruitment process by sharing there experience from various companies.

To get admission in IMT Nagpur, one has to score 65+ percentile in CAT (Common Aptitude Test) Entrance exam for Doing post graduation in MBA which is taken in November of every year. The college process includes interview process which is taken in March and April of every year.

Most of the facilities are from very rich and professional background having years of experience of both teaching and relevant industries having an average age of around 40-50 years. Around 7 subjects are allotted in one semester of a total of 6 semester program.
