Remarks

Overall I really liked the entire experience and teaching. But they could improve in terms of being more on par with industry trends. Also, the college needs to increase seats since there is a lot of demand and few colleges in the city.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Every year we have 2 semesters which include both practical as well as theory papers. They're 5 hours long and demands drawing and painting. But unfortunately, the industry demands good command over softwares more than handwork so that's a flaw the college needs to change.

Placement Experience

4.5

End of each year we have an annual display of our work wherein different companies across the city come to recruit students for jobs as well as internships. A few of the companies were Umbrella Design, Taproot Dentsu, Creative land Asia etc.

College Events

4

We celebrated a number of events like sports day, garba nights, ganesh pooja, Christmas etc. We also has a farewell for the final year organized by students itself every year. At the end of the year, there would be an event of 5 days with different themes and events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Around 1lakh per year. They were generally deposited by cheques. No, the college did not ask for additional fees, but we would need to buy our own stationary and art supplies as well as pay for IV trips and tours. The arrangements were made by the college, but we had to pay additional money.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I did not opt for any loan or education concession. Yes, the college did offer concession to backward classes as well as students who needed them.

Campus Life

3.5

There is no particular gender ratio. It depends from batch to batch. There is diversity in terms of culture as well as caste. Even in terms of economic status. Since there aren't many design colleges in mumbai, Rachana sansad is a melting pot of culture, castes and backgrounds.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Rachana sansad has no hostels. If there were students from another city, they would have to make arrangements of their own stay. Usually all students in my batch were from Bombay itself so no one needed them.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are generally very helpful and guide juniors when it comes to improving their work as well as helping during job interviews and exhibitions.

Admission

The colleges require a common entrance test which includes practical and theory papers. Along with that score, you require a good percentage in 12th grade as well. Then depending on both the scores, there are 3 merit lists that come out for each college.

Faculty

3

All the teachers had a different approach to teaching. Some of them were well-versed with the latest industry trends and demands whereas a few teachers were more traditional. A students learning and progress would depend more on their communication skills with the professors as well as how good they can gel with them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

They still expect students to do everything handwork. But students need to work digitally as after college they have to work on softwares at the job. College doesn't teach how to use these softwares. They ask you to do shitty assignments that are of no use when you actually work.

Placement Experience:

Since it's 2nd batch of the college, we haven't experienced the placements, but as said by college there are 99% chances students get placed in highly reputed companies and ad agencies, my plans after getting bachelor are looking for a job which pays me well and after 2 years looking forward to doing masters in the same field.
