Remarks
Overall learning experience was good. Not Best but not bad. I feel they should hire more professional staff who has actual industry experience, for teaching softwares. But it was definitely good compare to other institutes who offers short term diploma courses.
Entrance Preview
They took a aptitude test as an entrance exam which was basic and easy. Few questions and drawings were asked in the entrance exam, which was i think just a formality. I opt for BFA because i was very much interested in Art related field and good at drawings.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure was good. It was 4 years degree and they covered everything from drawing, paintings to teaching various softwares. Though i took an admission for BFA, it was mainly focused on Graphic design, Web design & 3D. I would say that the knowledge they delivered throughout the years was not enough to directly enter into professional market. I has to do an internship to gain more knowledge and practices about current trends in market. But college is comparatively very good than other institutes who has short term diploma courses for students.
Internships Opportunities
No, they do not provide internship. No Campus interviews arranged.
Placement Experience
They did not gave any placements and job opportunities. We had to do it on our own. Though few faculty members were quiet helpful to find internships for students on their own interest. But college administration was not involved or even interested for it.
College Events
We used to have guests lectures related to technical things. And during festival times they used to arrange events, compositions, get together so that everyone can enjoy the festival season. They also celebrate different days. Then there was Annual function which was held in the parent institute where all their sister colleges used to come together for the event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was not so expensive at that time. It was 25,000/- only per year. Though it was higher than other Arts colleges in pune. But after that for Every new batch in every year, they keep on increasing the price. Good thing was they were flexible about the fee structure for them who can not afford to pay entire fee at a time.
Fees and Financial Aid
No. They did not offered any scholarship or loan facility for students. But those who can not afford to pay entire fee at a time, they have been given option for installments.
Campus Life
About the gender ratios, number of boys were high and there were students from different regions. College was not gender or region biased at all. No racism. They used to have different workshops and cultural activities. Other than that only Annual party used to happen.
Hostel Facilities
They were not having hostel and canteen at that time. So we used to stay at private hostel or as a paying guests. Canteen was also not there so we students used to eat outside or they have to bring tiffin.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors were helpful, they tend to guide us on our queries whenever we asked them. But interaction between senior students and junior was not that frequent.
Exam Structure
Exam structure was very well planned. Not hectic at all. We used to get free in 2nd half of the day. And exam schedule was conveyed in advance to every student so that they can prepare.
Admission
Admission process was quiet simple because college was new at that time. They took an aptitude test and after that gave us an information about the course. After that they gave us admission form to fill and asked us to deposit initial amount of fees for college. Thats it.
Faculty
Faculty was well trained (almost all of them). Few times they arranged guests lecture and classes in which they invited professionals from various backgrounds. Few faculties were related to art and drawings and others were related to different softwares. Software related classes were quiet basic (level 2-3 out of 5).
