Remarks

It's a wonderful place to do your graduation or post-graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

In our time(2010-2014) course curriculum was given by JNT University which is a government University. The syllabus is too old nowadays we are not using those methodologies or theories. The syllabus is to be updated first. But we do have one industrial visit for every semester which helps us more related to current technology.

Placement Experience

4

We do have best placements at our time but I heard now College is a little back in getting placements for some branches like mechanical, civil, electrical courses.

College Events

5

Yes, we do have events related to academics, sports and extracurricular activities. They will conduct workshops every semester and years once we have sports fest in which all the surrounding colleges will participate in that. Our college will conduct one cultural fest every year which was speechless and no words to explain.

Fee Structure And Facilities

At our time college is completely under the Telangana government. In which fee structure will be decided by the technical board. I have paid around 35,000 per year as my tuition fee, which is feasible. But now our college was changed to an autonomous institute in which fee structures are different.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college will never offer any scholarship(s). Because everything was framed by the Telangana government. But you may be felicitated with gold medals when you are Excel in your batch.

Campus Life

5

As far as i know there is no specified gender ratio it completely depends on merit. Labs will really add more fame to college. All the labs are available as per the curriculum. We do have debates and competitions with other colleges. And comes to extracurricular activities we do have all types of activities like dance, music, sports, social service everything. If you are interested in any you can proceed blindly.

Hostel Facilities

5

No, my home is around 5kms from my college. So i didn't get any chance of living in a hostel. But our college itself has residence facilities with well furnished rooms and food is not too good as compared to other hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

They are really very helpful in all the matters. There will be interactive sessions at the beginning of the academic year which helps juniors a lot.

Admission

VNR VJIET is a well-reputed college. Candidly saying, it's in top 7 in Telangana state. I got admission through an entrance exam (EAMCET) conducted by the Telangana government. The admission process is so simple and the staff over there are friendly mannered.

Faculty

5

There will be around 30members of lectures for our course. The average age maybe around 40, they not only have good command on the subject but also qualified well in their stream. For every 10 students, one lecturer will be set as a mentor, who has to take care of their attendance percentages as well as academic percentages. From the day joining to placements those mentors will be with students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I felt that entire curriculum needs to be changed, since there are many useless subjects that are irrevalant to software engineering in CSE. I also felt subjects like c,c++, java needs to be replaced with python and web development subject should be replaced with something like nextjs. Initially I thought the syllabus and curriculum was good untill 3rd year of my Btech degree. The curriculum of jntuh is outdated in terms of real world. Teaching methods are ok though it needs minor improvements in some areas. The frequency of exams is same, you get semester exams and supply exams , you will have more chances to clear you backlogs, my advice is to clear backlogs in same year or try not getting any backlogs in engineering. timing of exams is usually after every 6 months out of which we usually have 180 or more working classes days. And in between we get sundays, holidays, events and other things. Semester exams are difficult especially subjects like mathematics or electronic subjects like ADE, which is irrelavant to CS.

After the third year or 6th Semester you can take part in placements. There has been a lack of companies visiting this year. So far Infosys, accenture, cognizant, LSEG, Verisk have come for placements. The details are unknown to all the people but the highest package yet has been around 16-20 LPA. The Percentage of students getting placed is less compared to previous years around 20-30%
