Course Curriculum Overview

Being this college comes under Punjab Technical University, hence the course curriculum was same as It is there for every college for PTU jallandhar. It covered all the software subjects which is required for Information Technology stream.

Internships Opportunities

Internship was not stipend offered but we get chance to learn new technologies and It was very useful. We had 6 weeks and 6 months internship and both were useful

Placement Experience

Placements of this college does not offer good jobs. However the course itself brings lot of job opportunities in IT sector. And based on internship students easily get the job.

College Events

College has celebrated annual events. Be it a sports meet or cultural event and tech fests. Celebrities like Gurdas Mann, Harbhajan Mann, Hans raj hans used to visit our college in cultural programs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was not that expensive considering the infrastructure and facilities provided by the college. However the transportation provided by the college was bit expensive and could be improved a little.

Yes the discount in admission fees and semester fee is there for highly ranked students in CET Punjab Entrance examination. Most of the students have availed it

Campus Life

Campus life is very good. Laboratories and Libraries are well equipped. Lot of sports opportunities are there. The debate competitions and events are organised on annual basis.

Hostel Facilities

I am not aware of the hostel things as I was a day scholar. But hostel friends told me that it is ok to survive and study in hostel rooms with friends. A single bed, wardrobe and study table is provided to every student.

External Expense: More Than Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

They were really nice and they are doing good jobs. They have supported a lot in all the activities. Also they have helped in getting the notes and study materials.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is semester wise. Every semester have sessional tests for internal evaluations and university tests for external evaluation.

Faculty

Faculty was the mixture of young educated and highly experienced teachers and lecturers. The teachers dealing with programming subjects like computer languages are the best.

Good campus life with decent academics

Placement are decent.Many companies visit the campus,but getting a good package depends on your skills and performance.Teh university also provides training support. Some companies like Deloitte,nexity consulting,Bigbasket,zepto etc visited are campus.

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in computer science so I choose this course to learn programing how the code works in computer. Student ratio is 22 in class. Teacher are well qulified and there teaching method is easy to understand. There two term exam in 6 months and these exam is not difficult

Firstly, I applied for Chitkara University but the seats are full , So, then I take step to be a part of sri sukhmani institue of engineering college, Derabassi. I go to visit the college on 22th of July 2016. I have listen alot about this college so I decided to take admission. My classes started from 5th July 2016. First 2 semester its all good, timely classes, timely practicals, but after 1-year teachers were not focused on students, not taking classes properly. As I opt for CSE, only c and c++ programming language practice is done in college no other programming language focuses in college. And one major cons about this college, if you not submit the next semester fees before the presently semester exams then you should not be allowed to sit in the exam which I thought the worst. After 5th semester I take nonattending from the college and go to the institute to learn the higher programming language as in college they not taking classes of that....Read More
