Remarks

For me the best of my time. Good campus, qualified faculty, excellent infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum & exam structure is relevant. Pretty much research driven. Though no industrial visits were arranged. Being into Commerce stream I feel it wasn't required. But it helped me in becoming a better professional. Today I am working as a HR professional.

Placement Experience

0.5

No. None of the companies visited college during my time. So can't really help/advise in this matter.

College Events

4.5

Cultural events like Desi day was celebrated. We had organised Singing/Dancing/Role play events. The entire set of students participated in this event. A mix of juniors & seniors use to participate in it. So it was fun for sure. Principle & Teaching faculty take utmost interest with students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees was very reasonable. Don't exactly remember the amount now. The payment were accepted via Bank transfer/cash. The college does provide transparency in fee-breakdown. The authorities also provided liberty in case there was a delay in payment. They understood the issue and accordingly advised.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. College didn't offer any scholarship opportunities. Till the time I passed out, there weren't any. Can't say if it got started later.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life was pleasing. At least could feel it after I entered the market post graduation. Gender ratio was equal. Extra curricular & sports events were abundantly organised. Truly pleasing. And the participation in these events was also good. Cast, religion was far from sight. Students managed all things very well.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were very helpful. Though had few occasions of ragging. But in general very good. Faculties had a great control over all the students may it be seniors or new comers.

Admission

I opted Commerce course because it is interesting and fascinating. List of factors are Qualified faculties, convenient travelling, well maintained premises. Steps are filling up application form & submission, college does shortlisting & displaying name on notice board, admission fees to be paid in VVSB (Virar Branch)

Faculty

5

Number of lecturers - 7 Average age - 34 years Qualification - Principle (PhD) & Professors (Graduate) Expertise into Law, Taxation, Economics Professors held experience/certification in Accounts/Finance industry. As per me the best faculty of my time

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
