SASTRA a wonderful part of my Life

College Management is very strict and timing and attendance

We have 6 month semester and almost every month we have internal exam which keeps us busy and they developed the mentality to be best, not average by scheduling exams now and then so we have a competitive mentality which is very much required in our professional life as well.

In terms of placement, SASTRA is the best college in Tamilnadu. In my final year, I have completed an internship in MST solutions Hyderabad. Almost 80-90% people get placed from the college. we have mock interview to be prepared for final interview.

Every year, we have 2 of the event on college label which is - KurukSastra celebrated every year which is a complete cultural event. it's a 2 days event where all the colleges across India are invited and can participate. DAKSH is a purely technical event with lots of challenges. Its a day event but student across India can participate. We have one more event which is part of our department label- Gankotsava- Its mix of cultural and technical both, its a day event.

Fee is average or I would say low in compared to other college. Apart from every semester fee nothing extra needs to be paid. If in case you got admission to some other good college and you wanted to withdraw your forms you can always go and meet to DEAN.

College offer scholarship but unfortunately I was not aware and din opted anything.I'm not so sure able criteria

We have almost equal no of ladies and gents students. Inside campus we have restaurant and small shopping complex along with small bank and ATM. Campus and hostel has ragging free environment. We have library on campus and one per department where you can go and study.

I have opted hostel and it was wonderful experience in hostel, we have very big and spacious room and with a common washroom and toilets which are cleaned. If you are opting for a hostel then you need to pay hostel fee on yearly basis and mess fee on monthly basis,mess fee during that time is approx 1000. Mess has both north and south indian food in brekfast,lunch, snaks and dinner time. morning we use to get heavy breakfast and afternoon proper meal,snaks with tea,coffe and milk and dinner (proper meal) and night milk,tea,coffee.

yes, we have alumni meet where we will get to know our seniors and juniors and if in case we are stuck in our professional life then we can seek help from them.

Based on my graduation marks I got admission to the college. I took admission in the year 2009. I have chosen this college because my few seniors were studied from here and the have given very good feedback for this college and course content is really good and they have almost 100 % placement as well, which almost every student wants.

Few of the lecturers have the industry experience and few of them started their carrier as lecturers but most of them were trained professionals who use to take classes of TCS Chennai professionals as well. Our HOD was PhD doctorate and he explains the difficult scenario in very simple ways so that every individual can understand.
