Remarks

When I was looking for college this particular college had a good reputation in the market and had seperate prayer area. I chose the Computer engineering course as I was always fascinated about how a small piece of code can do wonders.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus and curriculum is seriously outdated. There is no precedence for practical knowledge at all. Teachers' knowledge is also outdated, they don't have practical skills, even if some have the curriculum is not flexible enough to allow them to teach us in their way. To mention the least Anand Bali sir was a good mentor to us. We weren't provided with any industrial exposure, only a few Industrial visits, which only included those industries which didn't had any connection with our field.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Placement Experience

Very few companies pay a visit for recruitments in our college and place,ent avilable only for Branches : Computer IT, ELEX. Job profiles are generally: Software engineer, Tester, Technical writer, Reviewer and sometimes job profiles are defined after you get the joining letter based on the vacancy in the company. There is a wierd rule that every student will only be able to get one offer letter from on-campus placements i.e. once placed you won't be able to sit in the subseqeuent placement drives in the college.

College Events

College holds two fests viz. one cultutral(Ambrosia) and one technical(Aspire). These fests are good but lack some innovative and creative thinking. Management is in the hands od students and their committees. Any student across the University of Mumbai can participate in them.

Campus Life

Sports facilities are not avialable at all barring only table tennis (where you have to carry your racket and ball) and carrom as the campus is very congested due to it's location in South bombay. Labs are equipped with good hardware but softwares are still outdated. Also lab incharges and professors don't know how to update them. Library size is satisfiable. Wi-si is not avilable even for surfing through internet.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

The moderate college of engineering in pune , with moderate fees and good environment.

Placement Experience:

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

i had seen Companies visiting like Entrata, Airtel, Honeywell etc..... Highest package till now for currently year is 15 lacks. I had also seen students who are doing interships and are placed there only.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.
