Remarks
I wanted to go for civil engineering and i had three options available, all were government colleges so i made a decision on which college was closer to my hometown. REC,BIJNOR was the top college on my priority list.
Course Curriculum Overview
When i took admission in the mentioned college it offered three courses(IT/EE/CIVIL) and the college was new as it was established in 2009 and the first batch was 2010 to 2014. So faculties were temporary guest faculties but lab facilities were upto mark.
Internships Opportunities
I opted for internship in GAMMON INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED. There was no stipend but the exposure was amazing. The procedure includes getting a letter head signed from the director of the institute and submitting it to the concerned organization where you want to have your internship.
Placement Experience
Companies that visited diring our final year were big companies like WIPRO and INFOSYS and many other small startup companies. Placements were there mostly for IT brach students and civil and electrical students were offered managerial jobs.
College Events
Extracurricular activities were just like any other government college of AKTU. There will be funds from the college to have festivals, tournaments, leagues etc. Culture festivals like SPANDAN are major festivals.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you're dad's annual income is less than 2 lakhs, you can avail scholarship from Social Welfare department subject to availability and reservation. Few seats are there for unreserved candidates in a college for fee exemption (means they don't have to pay any fee) but category candidates can avail scholarship.
Campus Life
The size of the playground is not that big and campus is not too large. Library is big enough for 100-200 students at a time, labs are big and filly equipped with new age instruments. Lan(internet) facility is available in the hostels.
Hostel Facilities
I had opted for hostel. Hostel rooms are quite large with 3 students per room accommodation,no single rooms will be allocated even to final year students and that is a major disappointment. There are no PGs nearby and you jave to go 2 kms for the nearest rooms.
