Remarks
I choose Sharda University because of the following reasons: 1) infrastructure is awesome. 2) Above can be considered as good aspects. If I talk about bad aspects then there is only one thing that there were many students who try to bully decent students. I got admission on the basis of SUAT(Sharda University Admission Test), it's an entrance test. I took admission in the month of July. Any engineering aspirant can get admission on the basis of UPTU/JEE/SUAT marks. Reason for preferring this college is its campus. I saw Sharda University's advertisement on television and I've searched it on many websites like shiksha.com, quora.com, etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because of the maximum placement. Student: faculty ratio is 20:1. The faculty strength is almost 35. Visiting faculty is around 5. Qualification was much better than other colleges in Greater Noida. The teacher was highly educated but teaching method was not up to the mark. Teachers as well as the course curriculums main focus was on theory rather than practicals. Some of there teachers were good and their teaching style was also good. In one year there were two types of exams, one was Mid-Term Examinations (MTE) and another was End-Term Examinations (ETE). There is no difficulty in passing the exams if you have studied. Exam papers were not too hard to pass.
Placement Experience
After 7th semester, students were eligible for campus placements. Placements were not too bad. There were 50+ companies visited. Highest average package was 10 lakhs per annum that was offered by By'jus company. Average package was 3 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students getting jobs was approximately 60%. I didn't opt for any campus placement job because I want to pursue a master's degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee Structure is different for different schools. For B.tech. in Computer science engineering, it was 1,54,000 of tuition fee, 5000 for admission (for every semester), 5000 for exam fee(every semester) and 10000 for security fee(which was refundable). There was no fee hike at that time. If any student got 75% in 12th(physics+chemistry+maths) then he/she will get 10% scholarship in first year. If 80% in 12th, then 20% scholarship, if 90% or above then 30% scholarship is provided in the first year. After the first year, scholarship for 2nd year is based on the university's previous year marks and it's same for rest of the year. There were many companies for campus placement (around 50+) and they were giving good stipend. I didn't opt for any campus job because I've to go for Higher studies.
Campus Life
There was a fest named 'Chorus'. It's North-India's largest fest. It almost always conducted in the month of November. I personally attended 3 fests. It's a 3 days fest in which 1st day some band performance was there and on the next day some artists were there. On the last day of the fest, the university invites popular celebrity(like Guru Randhawa, Neha Kakkar,etc.).Almost every book and journals were available in the library. The classroom environment was comfortable and classrooms were equipped with Air conditioning. Sharda University is also known for his extracurricular activities and experienced them also. There were cricket tournaments, football, basketball games and many more. There are many pages on Instagram that students run. Some of them are sharda photography, famous faces of Sharda, Sharda crush confession, etc.
Interview Experience
I faced a computer test and an interview after the test. The test was grouped into 4 sections, physics, chemistry, maths and reasoning. I know their pattern of test so I was well prepared. I revised some common topics of all the subjects from NCERT books and from the internet. I read some interview questions also from the internet.
