Remarks

The University curriculum does justify its tag of a skill oriented University. Being in its early stages new concepts are still being evolved and efforts are being taken to attain a steady functional system. Another asset of this university is its marvellous infrastructure which is well planed and provides various services.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am a student from the Architecture department of the university. I can say that Architecture is one of the most evolving streams of the university. The demanding professional skills in the industry are being conveyed to the students. The curriculum gives absolute freedom to the students for expression. The faculty is mostly comprised of high profile young educationalists, they are strong spirited and provide good guidance. The creative and skill-oriented curriculum sets us apart from any other colleges or universities. Their ultimate goal is to make our industry-ready.

Placement Experience

4

The college provides a 2 months summer internship program after every two semesters ( generally a 10 months ), thus making students industry-ready. Apart from this, a domestic (compulsory) or international (optional) study tour is also organised which is individually funded. There are no graduated alumni yet thus we can only predict good placement opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is moderately expensive, considering the possible increment of 15% yearly. Talking specifically about B.Arch, the fee has been hiked from 1.85 lac to 2.07 lac in 2020, The fee, in general, seems to be quite unjustifiable. It is almost two times any architecture college in the country would charge.

Campus Life

4.5

The university hosts a lot of educational seminars, national conferences to provide plenty of industry exposure to students. It also celebrates all the typical events just as independence day, republic day. Events like quiz, sports competition and a ton of other extracurricular activities are also organised as an annual event named Skillotsav.

The surroundings of the college give out a peaceful vibe, its a vast campus. It is located far from the city, from its pollution, one negative point about this is the commute from city to the college is very long and tiring.

There is nothing negative about my college that I have noticed in the past few years. In the time that I have studied my course in the college I have never found anything odd about the environment. The environment is mostly peaceful and the students are very good in nature.

I got this course at SEA only thorough merit. I wrote NATA, JEE is also fine or any authorized entrance exam for architecture for that matter. The counselling process happens under the council of architecture and the candidate should have qualified all the criteria under them.

Securing a decent non zero positive NATA score is the first and foremost essential thing to do while apply for this college, I secured 65% in my boards, we had to apply online and pay the fees, they will announce the date for admission/counselling later through a call letter.

The college is great but on the flip side of the coin, there is a lot of politics and partiality with respect to marking. Attendance, hard work, punctuality, consistence is not taken into consideration and is based just on the “appearance of the project”
