As its MAKAUT affiliated college, so you need to follow their curriculum which I don't support much. As overall syllabus is changed so many subjects are removed. Though I will urge you to focus on developing your skills needed for industry or research through workshops, training, etc rather than giving stress on university's outdated syllabus.

College T&P department is always active on bringing and arranging companies mostly IT sector for campus placements, our placements are too good and have nearly 70% students placed this year from CSE, ECE & IT. I will recommend only software branches as core doesn't have good placements.

EDGE which is the biggest tech fest in Kolkata and East India after kshitij in IIT Kharagpur is hosted by TMSL, Kolkata. Many cultural, technical, fests, workshops, etc activities go on throughout the year. So many programs you'll see when you're in college starting from freshers welcome itself.

Feasible. Probably it will cost Rs. 4 lakhs as tuition fee for whole B. Tech course of 4 years in this college. College will provide the fee structure and its available on the website too. That's it. The fee structure and breakdown will be given by college itself.

Yes, its there for reserved category candidates and rail employee wards. Though I don't know how much aid is given, as I haven't taken any loan or freeship to pay for my tuition.

Campus life is relaxing and reverie. Many extracurricular and social activities are organised. Competitions with robotics, debates, etc are also there during fests. So its a wholesome package of everything there. Its really enthusiastic during these times.

College only has authorised hostels which aren't directly run by college, though many including me stay in PGs where for 4 sharing it costs Rs. 4k rent without food and Rs. 5. 5k with food per month. Its easy to find PGs near to college in foot distance too.

They're really helpful. Also they come to college occasionally to be a part of program. They share their experiences.

As its a top ranked state private college in WB, I preferred it. ECE was my fav subject and to get here you need to get good rank in WBJEE exam that's somewhat among top 8k rank to get a decent field of engineering popular in this college. Most probably, you will get the results in June and your session will start from August.

They're really good, there are many young to old teachers who have good subject knowledge in their field. Most are MSc bearers with some having Phd and MTech degrees from IIT or NITs. They're friendly and will help you like you're a part of their family.
