One need to work really hard in the school board exams to get admitted into this college. This place is nothing but a heaven where you see variety of people.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is really good and it is set by the madras university. Although loyola college is autonomous and they prepare their own exam papers. The course really helped me to gain Knowledge not just in my major but across other fields as well as we had allied optional and elective general
Placement Experience
Being an arts college, the placement is not that great. Although I was selected for three companies but was allowed to accept the joining letter of only one company to give opportunities to others. The companies visits the college are cts, wipro, l&t
College Events
The major event celebrated in our college is the ovations which many of the colleges across the city and states takes part into. Also many of the big brands sponsors it. What makes it really special is it is completely organized by the students funds.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible being the top college in the country. Also they give preference to all the Catholic students and provide them fee confession. The kids belonged to upper class needs to pay donation so poor kids could get sponsored through it.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes there was a scholarship program for students belonging to lower middle class whose parents annual salary was less than 1L. So we would get a concession of 10 percent in annual fees
Campus Life
Loyala college campus is huge as it is more bigger than any other college in the city. It has arts and science as well college which provides mba degrees and also I came for engineering. It's a boys college where the gender ratio would 9:1.very few courses like biology or viscom allow female students.
Hostel Facilities
No. I have not opted for hostel but many of my friends we're using the hostel family and the amount was very less but the room was small and was shared by 2. There was no ac or ceiling fan. Students had to make arrangement of table fan. But it was fairly well maintained than the other colleges hostels in the country
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni networks are very much active and they keep organizing meetings every year. I have not been to any of the meetings
Admission
Loyola college is the best college we have in country for arts and science. I wanted to pursue computers as I wanted to get a job in information technology field and so I applied offline for bca course after my 12th board on may 2011 and my name was selected on the first merit list in the same month
Faculty
The faculty staffs are highly educated and very much disciplined in the college. Many of the staffs are seniors and fathers of the roman community. And all the faculties have done phd on research Or on their respective fields. Also they hold necessary certifications required by tn government
