Remarks

According to me this college is best. Idon't find any negative points about this college. As this provides us good education, faculty, and good fee structure. There are job placements and internships are there. The main thing is one has to put his /her efforts to become successful.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

In my opinion the course curriculum of this college is highly focused on research. There are other courses also ,the main motto is to focus more on practicals ,study cases and practice. Though the exam is entrance based which also tests the ability and skills of the students. Then the college shortlist the merit list. After which the students get admission.

Placement Experience

4.5

There are many job opportunities and placements after finishing your course from Katihar Medical College. After finishing your course you can apply for different posts. Most of my batch mates got placements. One them applied for Casualty Medical officer and cleared it. Also our college provides internships where a graduate has to perform actual practice of medicine and health care under the supervision.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is different for different courses. For my course it was same as other private colleges had. Infact little bit lesser than other private colleges. Other courses fee may be high. But there is an education loan, which students can also apply.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many extra curriculum activities organised by college. One of them is Students leaderships programs, which main purpose is to understand and articulate the academic needs of students. Also for students they organise events like inter-college sports tournaments, events in auditorium. There is also a Editors committee to raise awareness about welfare programs. I must say there was overall many activities by which a student can grow his/her self in a very positive way.

Admission

I got admission in this college by applying application form of entrance exam. Then I submitted my application fee and downloaded the hall ticket and appeared for my exam. After my result came out, I have submitted my form for the admission in the college through the official website of the college. Then I registered in this college, when my registrations has completed I had to fill my details after signing into University site and applied for my course. There was merit list, based on eligibility criteria, reservation process and exam results. When I got shortlisted they called me for counselling process for my selection.

Faculty

5

The faculty of this college is much experienced and cooperative also. The brilliant faculty members guided me through the course. They provided me more holistic approach to the medicine through workshops, medical ethics and problem based learning. They helped me a lot and taught everything throughout my course.

The frequency of exams is a headache to be honest . There is 1 semester coming up within every 4 to 5 weeks which makes it stressful for us. Moreover the teaching methods are decent. This course is indeed a challenging one!

As it is a medical college, no amount of lectures would suffice for you to clear the exams unless you're doing self studies. Content taught in classes is satisfactory. Additional plans from Marrow or Prep are needed

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a medical college, it always has an environment of focus and consciousness. I have chosen MBBS because I want to be a focused student in my life. I want a disciplined life, which is also a beauty of this course. MBBS develops you as a sincere - sensible and soft personality. In each department of our college, there are 3 to 4 teaching and non-teaching staff and our batch strength is of 170 students and there are totally more than 15 departments in MBBS course, so now you have an idea about the faculty Nad student ratio of our college. Faculty members are excellent in every department of our college be it the Undergraduate department or postgraduate department they are well qualified and renowned and they are great doctors too, they have wonderful art and experience of producing successful doctors. As a medical college, here 1st priority is study and assessment of students so exams are on time and obviously it has a difficult curriculum, which needs lots of hard work and dedication.
