Saurabh Gupta's Review On Galgotias University - [GU], Greater Noida

UPSEAT-2002 (Uttar Pradesh Technical University Exams). My rank was around 6000. This college is in NCR region and thus enjoys lots of campus activity in that area.

Course curriculum is designed by the university. It accommodates most modern programming languages and computer science, information technology subjects. The curriculum caters to most industry oriented practices. The summer internships organized groom students making them job ready.

The college arranged summer internship within the college premises. We were taught by trainers who train the Industry people and executed projects on the training received. It was a very nice exposure.

Placement is excellent. Almost 100% of the eligible (students having the required consistency in academics as mandated by the visiting companies) students get campus placed.

There were annual fests and programs (cultural and academic) organized for the freshers and the students going to graduate every year. Also we participated in events organized by other colleges across India.

Fee structure is divided into two. Government quota seats (students who qualify the entrance exam) have very feasible fee structure, Management quota seats (students who get selected on the basis of standard 12th results) have fees on the higher side.

Scholarships were not provided by the college though they had tie UPS with banks to provide the education loan.

Campus life was fun. We had large playground. Sporting events were organized annually. Cultural events also took place. Overall it was good and provided nice atmosphere and relaxation.

Boys hostel is within campus and has good capacity. Rooms are large and students per room is adequate providing enough space. Toilets are good (cleaned regularly). Mess food is also. There is also a canteen for day scholars who can pay and get the service

Alumni is present across the globe. Many of my fellow batch mates are working outside India. Within the country, many are working with MNCs and commanding good salaries. Overall everybody from the college is doing great.

Exams are held twice every year as per the University schedule. Though there are issues with the dates which get communicated very late. This is because university planning is not good.
