Remarks
RIT was the reputed nearby institute, with good academic practices. The institute was well equipped with laboratories. The staff of the institute was qualified, experienced and sufficient. At RIT 75% attendance was compulsory and faculties used to complete the entire syllabus.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in the civil engineering course. Exactly I don't remember about the faculty-student ratio but approximately it was 15:1. The faculties were well qualified with good experience, both teaching and industrial. Teaching methods were simple, where learning was happening. In a semester, there were two unit tests and one end semester examination.
Placement Experience
Students were eligible for campus placement after the seventh semester. At that time there was no campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee was the same for all four years of my graduation. There was no hike in the fee. I didn't get any scholarships, financial assistance or stipend during my graduation.
Campus Life
The annual gathering, a cultural programme was there in the month of February. Annual sports were there in the month of January. Sufficient books and few journals were available in the library. The classroom were well lighted and ventilated. The seating arrangements were good and sufficient. The blackboards were of very good quality. There were few clubs and associations, ran by students, such as Civil Engineering Students Association, Nature club, Cultural club, Sports club etc.
