College Experience

I do not see anything bad about college as this is one of the best in Hyderabad also the management were able to bring in more companies to the college every year for campus recruitment.

I had taken the entrance test EAMCET which is a test for the Engineering. I opted for EEE branch in CBIT College. I have got rank 1900. This college is one of the best in private engineering colleges during that time and I also met the principal of the college during admission time.The interview was very simple.

EEE is one of the toughest course out of all the available branches and It covers some of the Electronics branch and all of the Electrical ones. So we got a good exposure of both.

There is no concept of general stipend in our college and as part of the last semester we did a project on our own and could successfully finish on time.

The college has a very good reputation in terms of job placements and opportunities. During the last semester the companies who came to our college Infosys,TCS,Wipro,Philips,Accentureto name a few. I do not exactly remember the compensation details It was somewhere around 2-3 lankhs.

We have participated in Technical forums and Quizalso celebrated the Annual college function every year. Apart from this we also have a freshers party organised. As part of field trip we have been to Srsailam a place where we got an exposure of hydro electric plant and turbines.

The fee structure was ok for a govt aided seat paid around 5k per year in 1994 and for a private quota it was around 26000 per year. The management quota is filled by the management and we have no clue about those.

The scholarship were given only for the merit students and thoise were very less in number. There was no loan facility given to the students in the college.

Campus life was very good. We had chit chats in the canteen,bunk the boring classes. The ragging was not there there was strict guidance on this so the seniors only introduced us and became friends after that.

We have a alumni network called CBIT alumni. We interact only through social media and linked In. Over all good experience interacting with seniors and a healthy atmosphere among junior-senior relationship.

The exam structure was moderate. We had labs and internal exam every semester and the final one would be at the end os semester. For the final marks both lab internal test and the fianl exam marks will be considered.

The Faculty was very well experienced. We have got our EEE HOD Pro. Narasimhan who has tremendous knowledge in EEE area. Apart from him all the other faculty are very co-oprative in clearing the doubts.
