Best college in the EASTERN Suburb

More focus on hiring industry experts from diverse parts of India should be given. This would help achieve diversity amongst the faculty and their thought processes.

I opted for Thakur college of Science and Commerce (TCSC) due to its excellent academic strength and strong sports infrastructure.

The course is backed by Mumbai University. However, the faculty who taught us where highly qualified and supremely focused on the task at hand. The subject was presented well and made very easy to understand by the faculties.

Not applicable to me. The course never indicated a need to obtain internship. But for the colleagues who got an internship, an average of 3500-5000 was the stipend being paid at private institutions.

TCSC's placement cell made non-stop efforts to bring cos. like WIPRO and Streams BPO services. They strived hard to get the best companies on board. It helped the students with options to choose the best for their career.

Annual Sports Day, Annual Cultural Day, Annual Techfest Day, Annual Day. These events were celebrated with high level of participation from students, faculties and guests from all corners of the society.

The fees is worth the facilities on offer. The campus, library and other infrastructural facilities give no reason to complain. The quality of services offered by TCSC is way ahead of many colleges across Mumbai. There was no shortage of any requirement and the basic needs of water, first-aid and hygiene was always prioritized.

Not applicable to me. Neither did i avail any such facility. It was taken care of by my parents. However, a few students had received scholarship of upto half their fees which had proved really helpful for them. The college took care of such scholarships through its trust.

Extremely competent environment was provided for sports and debates. Intra-college and Inter-college fests provided excellent platforms for budding students. No discrimination of any kind was made. Ragging was stritly non-tolerant. No place was reserved for political or religious interference.

Not applicable. I stayed at my own apartment. Neither did the college offered any such facility. It was a proposition put forward by many students and the management had given assurance to look into providing such facilities on top priority.

The seniors of TCSC have gone on to carve a niche for themselves in world of corporate and sports at various levels. Kudos to the infrastructural facilities and academic excellence which has given gems to the industry. The alumni network is very active and helps college meet new ideas and challenges.

Semester exam structure conducted professionaly by the faculties with high level of transparency. Lab tests, internals, VIVAs as well as written exams were conducted on timely and accurate basis.
