Nandakumar K's Review On SNS College Of Technology - [SNSCT], Coimbatore

After finishing my schooling I joined Dr SNS RAJALAKSHMI COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE for my UG course in B.SC.(CS) . After completing my UG I planned to do my Post Graduation. At that time this course was introduced in SNS COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY. Being one of the colleges with the best facility I decided to join there. Being a budding college when I joined there the facilities were good and the lab facilities are also good. Since it was in its early stage of growth the building was enough to accommodate less number of students at that time. Since my graduation, it has gone miles ahead and achieved Autonomous. It is the first Institute to implement Design Thinking based curriculum which is the need of the hour now. The degree brought me many changes in my life since I came from a normal background. Being a fresher the conduct induction program for all students. The college also motivates the students to participate in many events to improve their knowledge.

On average we had 5 to 6 papers per semester till 5th semester. The final semester is full time project. The college provided industry oriented electives that were up to the industry expectations and the concentrated mainly on imparting program skills to students. The Institute provides the best facilities with respect to lab, class and sports. The faculty ratio was also good1:15.

The provided very good placement opportunity for our batch students. The first company to visit our campus at that time was Wipro and two of my friends got placed with 3 LPA package. Satyam also visited our campus for placement and 3 of my friends got placed. The also provided training for us to Crack the interview. Many of my friends also got placed in other companies such as Scope International and tier 2 companies

The college used to conduct many technical events, guest lectures for the improvement of student community. The also conduct Department level technical events for participants from other colleges which helped us to bridge between various colleges. The library was well equipped with prescribed author books and journals. The classroom was equipped with a normal board and normal projector. The classroom ambience was good and had proper ventilation with fans to avoid the heat during summer season.
