They teach good enough. But when it comes to money they are merciless.
Course Curriculum Overview
Teaching is good. But infrastructure is not satisfactory. Op patients flow is enough in number around 100 patients per day. Somewhat better college than other dental colleges within the city limit. No campus placement provided in our college. This college have post graduate courses this may expose yourself with senior professionals and make some contacts during the course period.
Placement Experience
For B.D.S 1 year compulsory internship is mandatory. We complete internship in our college hospital itself. And no campus placement is provided
College Events
Early once our college conduct intracollege cultural event called ‘YAAZH’. And some conferences being conducted so far. Other college students also invited and some external guest speakers are invited to discuss about upgrades in dentistry. Other than our college cultural, IDA Madras conduct a common cultural for dental students around Chennai every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Expensive tution fee. They accept cash, dd, or NEFT transaction. Other than tution fee you have to pay hostel, books, instruments, exam fee, fine( if necessary). They provide transparency in fees breakdown. Put so much pressure on you if you failed to pay fee on time. Sometime they won't allow you to write exam if there is any part payment due is not paid. (Even it is a small amount of money)
Fees and Financial Aid
They don't provide any scholarships. Only thing is the give you Bonafide certificate, with help of this you can arrange education loan.
Campus Life
In our batch 1:4 (boys:girls) is gender ratio same as reflected in our college also. Most of us from tamilnadu. Some from other parts of India. Even though each from various cultures, language, religion and different political views, no problems arised in campus.
Alumni/Alumna
After graduation there is no alumni meet or such network is created by college. This was unhelpful to be fair
Admission
Through neet exam conducted by National board of examination. I choose this college because it is situated inside the city limit. After wrote an exam I applied for councelling conducted by tamilnadu government for state quota. Through with I selected this college
Faculty
There are over 100 faculties teaching various subjects for dental students around 25 departments. More than 90% of faculty members are post graduated. Some also done doctorate. They help students for research purposes either by their guidance or involvement in projects.
