Entrance Preview

JEE-mains and i scored 74/360 and after that i was very embarrased but then as soon as the ranks were out. I came to know they are decent marks so the best option available for mechanical engineering to me was saboo siddik college of engineering. And so i obtained complete information about this college and finally to join this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course mechanical engineering is very good indeed. There's a lot to learn and practise . From practicals to programs to workshops and all that stuff.

Internships Opportunities

I've not been in an internship but i'll be doing it from next semester most possibly but from stuffs that i have heard they offer anything around 15-25 thousand .

Placement Experience

The placement and jobs offered to students are decent at start with companies like TATA , TCS , and other IT companies offering a package around 4 - 6 lakhs p.a.

College Events

The college has a grand festivel of its own called " AMBROSIA" it has events like Gang dayColour day. Swachta abhiyan, DJ night, Fashion show ,Mutiple tech events Sports competitions Robo wars Bike stunting.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarships are offered to the minority community of my college that is muslim ,sikh ,catholic people only . So unfortunately i dont get any scholarships.

Campus Life

Campus life preety happening when there are students present and the extracurriculars acitivites held after regular intervals and its very brilliant stuff happening there . The sex ration in engineering would me 20:1 perhaps. And none of them are like racist or are tokerating anything else.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are always there to help And they dont disturb you in your work . The seniors contribute a lot to make the annual fest into a grand one . They help a lot in that too.

Exam Structure

The exams structure is very perfect out of all the things , each semester has 2 internals and one end semester . The end semester is held in every 6 months .we have a 40% passing for the avrage of these.

Faculty

Some of the faculaty staff for example 3 out 10 find it difficult to artriculate themselves to students , other than that the faculty is quite good with respect to students.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

The moderate college of engineering in pune , with moderate fees and good environment.

Placement Experience:

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.
