How I gained my technical knowledge at JSU

There are cultural event committees for planning out the culture.

The system followed here is a choice-based credit system [CBCS], the student has the choice to choose his/her own subject of interest as electives, this is as per the UGC norms. Evaluation of students is done by continuous comprehensive evaluation, projects, presentations, and term exams.

Our Training and Placement cell works throughout the year to put us into companies with good packages. We are trained well in aptitude and personality development areas. Some of the companies visiting us are Infosys, Volkswagon, Oracle, and HCL.

The fees for the whole course of four years come around Rs.1,90,000, which is Rs. 47,500 per year. This fee is very low when compared with private engineering colleges where they charge double of this.

Students from backward classes who have the need for scholarships have to apply for that within a particular time limit. The tuition fee is refunded by the university after cross-checking all the eligibility criteria.

Our extracurricular activities include sports and culture. It is a vast green environment. We get to play games like cricket and football. A gym facility is available.

Hostels at JSU are a very sophisticated arrangement, the university also provides private accommodation facilities like apartments and flats, if not willing to stay in the hostel you can contact the dean of student affairs.

I secured 62% in my boards, I am from the PCM stream. the minimum percentage is just 45%. I filled the application form online and sent the hard copy with the registration fee, you can also go and submit the application in person at the college administration office.

Staffs here are central government authorized, which means they too had screening before joining in here, hence the knowledge they have is very remarkable, they are very inspiring and approachable at any point in time.
