Great learning at a bargain fee

Negative is that professors can do more but they are complacent with their govt jobs. Many professors are not willing to do their jobs properly. College should take more active interest in Placements and there is huge potential to be like FMS but due to laid back attitude and lack of accountability from professors, it is not happening.

Great course. A bit outdated curriculum. Also professors are govt college model oriented so a bit of updation is REQUIRED. But overall all the teaching is class and self initiative is encouraged. Students enroll in MOOCs all the time through Coursera and EdX platforms.

Placement is good. Amex, HDFC bank, HDFC life, Paisabazar, Avery Dennison, SBI insurance etc come for placements. Highest goes upto 54 lakhs from tolaram. HSBC offers 7-11lpa based on recruitment required.

Many events are conducted throughout the year by PR Cell and B Cell. Events are organized online also through d2c platform and all the students out there can participate. SUSTAINEURS, Quarantined Quest organized recently. Quiz, article writing, public speaking all are frequently organized

Quite easy to afford. Less than 80k for college education of 2 years. One has to pay 6k per sem fee and 4k per sem exam fee. The hostel fee is about 5k for each sem and the mess expense about 3-3.5k for canteen and mess for one month. Transport inside campus is usually not required. College charges 19k for all expense related to providing study material.

Various fee rebates are available for category students in more categories than just normal reservation. Foreign students are also admitted. One can apply to DSW for getting approval for fee rebate or removal. It is easy but may require some time based input.

Extracurricular is good. Lot of opportunities to go for treks and trips to Himachal, Kullu, J and K and Amritsar etc. For those coming from various regions of India, there are monthly fests by various dept of the PU in the campus only. So no need to worry.

Hostels are shabby. But not too bad. Livable. Bathrooms are also okay. Lot of open spaces. PU WIFI is there. Lot of facilities like barber, in house canteen, mess etc. There is 24 hour guard at entrance and police station is less than 500m away.

Greatly helpful. Alums take active interest and are great to talk to. Regularly co ordinate with our placement cell for recruitment and also they are quite good at guiding junior students but not too much micromanaging.

Appeared for CAT exam and had to score 95.38 to get a call. Appeared for GDPI and given 85% weight to CAT score. Merit rank 20 and got in through general category. Submitted approx 30k fee for first sem and other formalities.

Faculty are well qualified. Every professor at least Ph.D. although some JRF and SRF also take classes. The college is doing good. There is a rotation system for chairmanship. Lot of guidelines to be followed due to university processes
