Life at P.T.R. College

The course contains the study of fluid machines, metrology, mechatronics, heat, and many other core concepts of mechanics. We are also given well-equipped laboratory facilities such as thermal lab, CAD & CAM Lab, and many others.

Companies like ATC Tyres, Wind Care, Volvo visit the campus for job recruitment. The placement cell helps the students in their project work. They conduct regular group discussion sessions, in-plant training, and various mock interviews.

The fees for 4 years of the course is Rs. 2,00,000/- which makes the fees per year approximately equal to 50,000. The fees vary too as per the accredited and non-accredited courses. Compared to other engineering colleges the fees is affordable.

A Technical Symposium is organized in the college annually in which many events and paper presentations are presented in our college. In addition to that, seminars and workshops are also organized for our department to impart knowledge on a particular topic.

I am doing B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. After giving my 12th class board examination, I went on to give the examination of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions(TNEA). I scored good rank in the exam and hence got admission to the college.

Our department has professors and the laboratories too have well-qualified faculty members with good teaching and industrial experience work. They are always ready to help us and aim to mould us into useful engineers.
